What book would you pick as your best book of 2001?

Akwa2007@aol.com
Hey I think the best books of all are the ones that are true stories like "A Child Called It", "The Lost Boy", and "A Man Named Dave."

I would say without hesitation that the coolest book I read in the past year was JUNO AND JULIET by Julian Gough. It follows two Irish sisters, Juno and Juliet, as they go off to college. They realize soon just how different they really are, and they struggle to maintain a good relationship. This is definitely a first-class novel.

The coolest book would definitely be A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN!!!

I'd pick The Lord of The Rings (Trilogy) as the coolest book of 2001. Now that there's a movie it's become popular again, and it's really an excellent book. It's so exciting and intriguing you can't put it down. Nothing can compare to it...I think it even puts the Harry Potter books to shame!

The coolest book of 2001 would have to THE COLDEST WINTER EVER.

NALAGIRL315@aol.com
HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE

I would say the best book of 2001 would have to be THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS, because it had so much to do with exactly what teenagers think about these days. And it had to do with sports, art, and even sickness. And I just thought it was so interesting and that's my favorite book.

My favorite book of 2001 was probably HEY DAY!! I know, if looks kind of goofy, but it really does teach you how to do and make all this cool stuff --- like clothes and movies. It was probably the best purchase I've made in a long time!

Hands down it was BAD BOY by Walter Dean Myers. I laughed, I cried, I ate ice cream after.

This is a tough one cuz there were a lot of good books this year. But, if I had to choose just one as the Best of 2001, I would go with BORN BLUE by Han Nolan. I was seriously good.

God, I hate questions like this. Why must there always be a "best" of everything? Why can't everything just be good on its own and not put on some list? Since I'm already here, I guess I'll answer: THE BEET FIELDS by Gary Paulsen.
