Do you think a look at your bookshelves would tell people who you are? If so, what do your shelves say?

dink@epix.net
When people look at my bookshelves, they think I am crazy for reading so much but I just say I love reading and Try to encourage them to get on reading. When they at my bookshelves and see the kind of books that I read, they think I'm acting like the characters in the but I act the way I want to act and not from what a book says.

I think that a look at everyones book shelf could tell u a little about them. My book shelf would probably say that I enjoy comedy and suspense. That shows that that is what I like in movies and Novels.

No i don't think looking at your bookshelf would tell people who you are. But i think it can tell them a little bit about you. Because sometimes i find what you read reflects your personality. So i guess looking at someone's bookshelves would help you get an idea about the person but not really tell who they are.

I personally feel that a bookshelf defanaitely tells people who you are. The books you read shape your minde and how you think. I am a reader of many books they are all very diffirent to one another but it shows in my personality that i am a very nice person and i am efusive and honest as well and that what iv'e learned to be from my books.

Hey,
I think that my shelves would tell u that i am an athlete because I have every sports book ever made. Also that I like action packed books like Holicost stuff and war books. Well I think that is all.

I have two seperate book shelves one with fantasy and things like that like Sabriel, Harry Potter, Lord of the rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. In the other one i have things like Nicholas Sparks and Phillip Pullman book that make me think and books that i enjoy for the story line.

Yes, I believe my bookshelves show who I am. First, they tell I love to read. My bookshelves are full of books. Second they show that I am a historical fiction nut....that's pretty much what all the books on my bookshelf are, except for a few real life books, such as Chicken Soup.

BeautyAngel1511@aol.com
I THINK A LOOK AT YOUR BOOKSHELVES COULD ACTUALLY TELL WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE BECAUSE THE BOOKS YOU HAVE ARE THE MAJOR INTERESTS YOU LOVE. LIKE WHAT TYPES OF BOOKS THEY TURN YOU ON OR SOMETHING AND WHAT THE KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE BY READING IT. ME? I LOVE THE BOOK TYPES LIKE THE DAUGHTERS OF THE MOON OR COMFORT OR THE PHILIP PULLMAN DARK TRILOGY OR SOMETING.I LOVE THAT.

People who look at my book shelves would say, "wow, she has absolutely no books compared to all the ones she has read." I really don't have that many books... I get most of my books from the library, that way I have more money to spend on clothes but still get to read all of the books! hehe!

americangirl0711@yahoo.com
Totally! My bookcase would say that I am romantic, adventurous, intellectual, and imaginative.

If some one were to look at my bookshelf, they would probably think i have my head in the clouds most of the time ; ) i am a big dreamer, and always have my heas in a book.

Chiclet666@aol.com
I do not think that one look at my bookshelf would tell people who I am because I have a wide range of books. In my collection are books about Taoism, books about dreams, car books, art books, books about artists, fiction and non fiction books. My books would tell people that I am very diverse in my reading and my interests. I highly enjoy books and would love to someday become a writer. In August one of my poems will be published and its the beginning of a hopely fun and influential path in my life. At seventeen, being a published poet is something I never in my wildest dreams thought I could accomplish and now that I have I can achieve whatever I need to. In life there have been numerous obstacles for me to cross and writing and reading have been a wonderful outlet to help me through tough times.

A look at my bookshelf would deffinately tell who or at least what type of person I am. My bookshelves would scream "teenager" "gossiper" "mysterious" and/or "likes a good laugh." My bookshelves tell everything.

Jjgrl55@aol.com
Well, of course people could tell! They could tell right off that I love reading! Actually, I think that people would see that I am not just one stereotype, not part of one group, but that I like a variety of things. As an example, I have a full stock of books from the Royal Diaries series right beside The Chronicles of Narnia. Or, I have A Wrinkle In Time placed beside Dancing In My Nuddy Pants. (a definitely un-serious book) So, really, people can see that I can be serious and silly, whimsical and studious, all at the same time. My books say that I am more like many people bundled into one.

I think that someone's bookshelves would probably tell you something about them.
As to what my bookshelves would say about me??? It would be a very jumbled message. lol. My books are mixed in with everyone else's books, and there wasn't much room for my stuff! Right now the books that are in there are my Anne of Green Gables series, and my fantasy books: Tolkien's LOTR, the Hobbit, and one by Garth Nix. Wonder what kind of message that would send about me??

SONJIA42@aol.com
My shelves say that i read WAY TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

TiggerGoBounce03@aol.com
I think my shelves would say one thing: I love to read, write, and learn. I have a variety of books about getting older and life, such as "Life Strategies for Teens" or "Chicken Soup"...etc. My shelf is crammed with so many books there's hardly any room for more! I also love to read fantasy and science fiction, so people would obviously see Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. Most people know me as a bookworm, so by looking at my shelves they would see me as even more of a bookworm!!! I also have books about the Holocaust and World War Two, such as "No Pretty Pictures", and "If I should Die Before I wake". I don't have many 'series' books because I'm more into stories that have a full back-bone and don't need to be continued. My shelves also contain some books in a different language, so people would think I'm very random. The main thing people would think by looking at my shelves: "Does she ever watch television???" :-)

Rarmj26@aol.com
I think that my shelves say that I love to escape my life and fantasize or experience new things through reading, from being Nancy Drew's best friend to living the life of a princess in the forest, or exploring some other fantasy land.

ElfGurl89@aol.com
I think my shelves would say that I am into all the wizard kind of stuff. I like the fiction, more than anything else. I get lost in the books, which really can turn a reader into a more defind perosn. I have a couple of non-fiction books, but I rarely reach for those. I am totally a dreamer, I always have my head in the clouds.

ChEeRdAnCr89@aol.com
If people look at my bookshelves, they'll realize that I have read a lot of books in my fourteen-year life time. They'll see that I have a bit of a soft spot for fantasy books and that I like to travel to places other than the east coast of the USA. Others may also see how much I love Harry Potter, or that I enjoy recent, up-to-date books.

elvenlydia@hotmail.com
I think that my bookshelves are tottaly who I am, they say this girl is tottaly into fantasy!!!!!!!
