If your school does have a summer reading list, what book on it are you most looking forward to reading?

I've already read the most interesting book on the list (I mean, I read it in a day!). The book is called Hope Was Here.
It's about a 16-year-old waitress who moves around the country with her aunt, an intuitive cook, (her mom abandoned her) before arriving at a diner called Welcome Stairways. There, she finds love, politics, and a father, as well as good food, a lot of laughs and a slew of hilarious one-liners. Example? "I can't say the road will be easy, but the food will always be good."
This is a good source of laughs, tears, and memorable senior quotes. Trust me!

I have to read 4 books this summer, but the one I'm most looking forward to is "The Grapes of Wrath." I bought the book a while ago, but never got around to reading it. Now I've got the chance!

We have 2: Ella Minnow Pea: A Novel in Letters and A Separate Peace and they both sound interesting to me. One ais about a town that stops using letters of the alphabet when they fall off a statue and the other is about 2 teenage boys during WW2, so they may be really good!

My school doesn't have a summer reading list, i wish it did I think it would be fun. But they'd probably pick books i normally wouldn't read, (down to earth) i love sci-fi, fantasy and adventure with a little bit off romance. I'm looking forward right now for the fifth Pendragon book to come out.

I have to choose between two different books this summer for English 2 Honors next year. I am planning to read East of Eden. I've heard awesome things about Steinbec and I'm looking forward to seeing the different biblical allusions.

I would hope it's like a teenage book with romance or something like that...
I would love the list to have the Sweet Valley High Senior Years since I love that series. It's so good. But the seiries is never going to end... I love books by Meg Cabot, although I have read most of them. I love Darren Shan, and other books too.

This year we have to read One Flew Over a Koo Koo's Nest. My older sister had read it and said that it isn't that bad. I am not to happy about reading what the school says you have to becuase they aren't always good books, actually they always stink! We normally have to read two books and write a reduction on them, but this year we have to read one book plus the reduction and then get a vocabulary book from boarders and complete almost 30 pages! That stinks!!! But I am looking forward to reading One Flew Over the Koo Koo's nest.

Last year I was going into 9th grade Humanities and I had to read "The Alchemist" (never did find out what one was) and It WAS SO BORING!!!!!! NEVER READ IT> If you want to read it, wait until ur 50 or 60!!
EmilyStrange190@aol.com
For my HS freshman year, I have to read "The Life of Pi" and "The Prophecy of the Stones". In my opinion, "The Life of Pi" looks tedious and boring. I think that "The Prophecy of the Stones" looks interesting, though. We don't have to do reports on these books, but when we return to school we have testing on them.
Survivorlis@aol.com
Frankenstein because it's a horror story and doesn't lookas boring as The Picture of Dorian Gray
Jazzmaster777@cs.com
