The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. I usually read books that I have something in common with, and even though I had nothing in common with this book, it was just so good I could not bring myself to put it down. I spent the whole entire day reading it and finished it by the end of the night.

The last book I couldn't put down was Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier. It was awesome. It was easy, but really interesting and you really got to know the main character. I recommend to everyone! Especially lovers of art.

Well, there are two books. One was How My Private, Personal Journal Became a Bestseller (really short though). The second would be Meg Cabot's Teen Idol (a few of my friends didn't like it, but I loved the book. I even did a speech on it!)

I just finished reading Confessions of a Not It Girl by Melissa Kantor and it was AMAZING! I checked it out yesterday at the library and ever since I've been hooked. It was INSPIRING and just...wow! Kantor is extremely talented and this book was just unreal!

The last book that I could not put down was Burnt Offerings by Laurell K. Hamilton. Her work is amazing. It is full of action and once the vampire slayer finishes one hurdle there's one more for her to get over. This book is for higher grade levels like 11-adult.

I just finished reading The Raging Quiet by Sherryl Jordan and I couldn't put it down! It is about a young widow who has just moved to a small village. This is in the ages of witchcraft and witch trials. The girl makes friends with a deaf boy and a priest. This is my all-time favorite book and I have read it 3 times!!

Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. This book is excellent. I accidentally picked it up in the library and decided to read it. The time period is WWII. The Nazis are in Denmark. The main characters' best friend is Jewish, so they must protect her. I didn't want to put it down!

So Many Books, So Little Time: A Year of Passionate Reading by Sara Nelson. It's about a woman who decides to read one book a week for a year. She wants to read those that she has put off reading. However, her plan falls apart quickly, and she ends up reading anything that appeals to her at the moment. Also, she talks about frequent reading dilemmas, like reading 2 books at once. It is a really interesting book because I was reading about myself on every page.

The last book I just couldn't possibly put down was Silenced by Jerry B. Jenkins. It is a great book as it is the second in a series about life before the rapture. Jerry B. Jenkins is also co-author of the Left Behind series and many other books.

Garth Nix's Abhorsen. It is the 3rd book in the Old Kingdom Trilogy. It was my fourth time to read it and I still couldn't get enough. Garth Nix's writing abilities are one in a million. His books are brilliant and I'm currently reading his new series. I can't wait for Drowned Wednesday.

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I was reading it for school. We got to choose which book we would read, but the library was out of copies, and when we went to the bookstore I was shocked by how big it was. It turned out to be really interesting somehow and I finished all 829 pages* of it in a week.
*It was abridged and in English.

Places I Never Meant to Be was great. Being able to read books about things that REALLY happen in life and that aren't watered down, so to speak, is wonderful. It is difficult to find an interesting book that isn't trying to hide what life is really like, high school especially. So much goes on that it is impossible not to know. I love Judy Blume and thank her and all the other authors who contributed very much, and I appreciate every single one of them.

Tithe by Holly Black. I ticked my friend off because she lent me her copy and I didn't want to give it back. I have my own copy now, and I've badgered four people into reading it, two of whom are boys, and their initial response was, "Faeries? Yeah, right. Like I'd be caught dead with that book." They both now have their own copies!

The last book I couldn't put down was The Shadow in the North by Philip Pullman. It was sooooo good. I stayed up till 4 am reading it. Not too good for your eyes, I don't recommend trying that at home. It is the second book in the Sally Lockhart series out of four, including the epilogue-ish fourth book, The Tin Princess. I definitely recommend all of his books!
