I've had a lifelong love affair with books. They were my first babysitters: my mother would give me a book to occupy myself with while she did housework. When my parents became too busy to read me bedtime stories, I learned to read on my own. Books helped me to learn English and gave me the skills to succeed in reading and writing. As part of the Teenreads.com Teen Board, I look forward to talking to other teens about books and reading, especially in sharing my thoughts on various books.
