The Stonewall Children’s and Young Adult Literature Award is given annually to English-language children’s and young adult books of exceptional merit relating to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered experience.

-The winner of the Stonewall Children's and Young Adult Literature Award is PUTTING MAKEUP ON THE FAT BOY by Bil Wright.

-Four Stonewall Honor Books were named: a + e 4ever drawn and written by Ilike Merey, MONEY BOY by Paul Yee, PINK by Lili Wilkinson, and WITH OR WITHOUT YOU by Brian Farrey.
