Spring is slowly arriving and so has our new Books on Screen! The warm weather is slowly making its appearance while the rain has come out in full force here in NYC. We're putting away our winter coats and gearing up for the spring season in our rain boots. Our Books on Screen is the perfect guide for what to watch on one of the many rainy days ahead. First on our list of must see spring arrivals is "Famous in Love" on Freeform. Next, we have the release of one of our all time favorites on DVD, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The Lost City of Z

Based on: THE LOST CITY OF Z by David Grann

It tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett, who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment who regard indigenous populations as "savages," the determined Fawcett  returns time and again to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case, culminating in his mysterious disappearance in 1925.

This spin-off of the Harry Potter franchise jumps back in time to explore the wizarding world of 1926 New York, which is being threatened. Author Newt Scamander arrives in the city as part of a global study of fantastic beasts, but he gets caught up in this conflict when some of the magical creatures in his care are accidentally released.
