ONE LAST TIME by John Edward
5 stars!
I just finished ONE LAST TIME, by John Edward. He is a true medium, and host of TV's "Crossing Over" on CBS. I loved the book. The stories he shares about some of his most memorable readings truly touch your heart. Even if you do not believe in his psychic abilities, this is a great book.

I'm 14 years old and my favorite book of all time is called THE DIVINE SECRETS OF THE YA-YA SISTERHOOD. It's an amazing book that plays on all your emotions, even the ones you didn't know you had! It's funny, a tad bit depressing at times, exciting, and describes the trials and tribulations of romance. The prequel is also really good. I strongly recommend both.
My second favorite book is called A GIRL'S GUIDE TO HUNTING AND FISHING. It was so good that I read it in two days! I also recommend BRIDGET JONES DIARY and COLD SASSY TREE. Try them!

A CHILD CALLED IT by Dave Peltzer
A compelling story of a little boy that is abused by his mother. He believe that getting through each day is one of the greatest accomplishments he could have by not letting her win. It tells the story of how his mother stabbed him, starved him and beat him while treating his brothers like angels. School was his get away but even there he was ridiculed by his peers. I recommended it to anyone who believe their life can't get any worse.

MAKE LEMONADE
1/2 star
I am reading this book for English Festival, and it is really bad. The way the whole thing is written is hard to read, and there is NO PLOT! Don't read this book unless you have to, it is booooooring!
SuperKat11@aol.com
I recently read THE AGE OF INNOCENCE by Edith Wharton for a school project. The book was pretty good, but not the best I have ever read. It probably would have been better if I hadn't been trying to read it in a day and do a project on it :) I would recommend it if you have to choose a book to read for school because it makes for a good paper.
LVSFTBAL@aol.com
ROOTS is one of the best books I've ever read. Yes, it IS pretty lengthy, but it tells you what really happened back when slavery was legal. It's an excellent book, but it probably should only be read by mature readers. It does have a lot of vocabulary from the 18-1900's.

I am reading THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RINGS By J.R.R Tolkien which is the book that comes after the Hobbit. This book gets 6 and a half stars! If you like fantasy books or like to play Magic the Gathering or Dungeons and Dragons you'll love this book! It is awesome! I have also read THE GIVER. That book is so awesome!! Why is it on the banned book list?

I would like to recommend the books from the PROTECTOR OF THE SMALL series by Tamora Pierce. I especially like the third one, when she is a Squire. These books are great because they're about a girl learning and living in a formerly guy's world, and kicking butt!!!

THE WHEEL OF TIME (series) by Robert Jordan ~5 Stars~
For anyone who likes fantasy books with a lot of magic and adventure, I'd try this series. It's a little in depth, if you miss a paragraph, it could mean missing something very important, but that's what makes the series all the more exciting and interesting. It's great!!!
THE SWORD OF TRUTH (series) by Terry Goodkind
This is a great fantasy series. The characters are all amazing and the books are filled with so many surprises!!!!!!!!! I'd suggest this series for anyone who is really into fantasy!!!!!!!

These books are the greatest books I have ever read. The author must be crazy!!! They're complicated, but simple. It's strange. there's so many different parts that make up each of these stories. They all involve a normal guy, named Richard who lives in the Westland (the land of no magic). There are two other lands; D'hara and the Midlands. Each of these land is separated by a boundary, which is really a part of the underworld (this keeps people from crossing into the others land. The Midlands has magic, but a peaceful kind. D'hara is evil. Richard finds out that he was taken to Westland, somehow, and is really this all time powerful war wizard, but he knows nothing about magic. He's been raised normal all of his life. Oh yeah, he's an adult, not some little kid or anything. So really, the series is about him and some other people trying to keep peace throughout the lands. I think that is the simplest way to put it. The series isn't finished yet, the author is still writing. I rate these books with 5 stars. I may add, though, that there are some pretty gross parts, so if you can't handle really graphic stuff, I wouldn't read them (there are lots of wars and stuff).

THE HOBBIT
5 STARS
I really love this book. It was so good and different from what I usually read. It took me from the real world because it had all the basics. Dwarves, elves, wizards and so on. J.R.R Tolkien is a very good writer.
Tumbler1985@aol.com
hey! I just got through reading THE SCARLET LETTER and it was boring!!! They put a bunch of useless information in there when they could just come out and say what they want?!?!?!?! but the story was pretty good!
Jberk87@aol.com
I read KISSING TENNESSEE. I didn't like this book that much because it was very boring, so it lost my attention. Also, the narrator got off topic various times, and the narrator also didn't explain the ending of each story enough.
Mookamama14@aol.com
THE LORD OF THE RINGS
this is a great book series by this author. It has every thing from dwarves to elves. I love fantasy so this is a great book. I recommend this to anybody who love to read fantasy and magic books.

I just finished reading AND THEN THERE WERE NONE By Agatha Christie. It is such a good book. Everyone should read. Once you start you can't put it down. You should read it especially if you love mysteries and stories about murder. As you turn the pages you learn something even more scary. The story's about how 10 people are brought to Indian Island and one by one they tell there wicked past. But one by one they each die! READ THIS BOOK. Is awesome and I recommend every to read. I give it 5 stars!!!!

HOPE WAS HERE by Joan Bauer
5 Stars
I read the book HOPE WAS HERE. This book is about a girl named Hope who is forced to move to Mulhoney, Wisconsin from Brooklyn because Gleason Beal, a jerk who stole all of her and her aunt's money, put the diner her and her aunt were working in out of business. Now she has to go to Mulhoney because her aunt needs a place to work that supplies her and Hope with an apartment. To Hope's dismay, they only job they were offered was in Wisconsin. As the days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months, Hope begins to adjust and fit in and find Mulhoney to be her new home. I felt that it was one of the best books I have ever read. It dealt with so many of the problems that I am going through and helped me get through them with a new wave of hope. In fact, this book can touch anyone's life. It deals with everything like deception, honesty, love, hope, life, death, and so much more. It is also so interesting to see how Hope, the main character of the story, relates almost everything to food service. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a great book to sit down and read and to anyone who needs to be touched.

However, right before the will is going to be read they get some news that Arnold's son, Porter Harmony, has just been murdered. So, Jenny's mother tries to solve a real-life crime. She thought it could never be possible until she starts piecing things together and finds out information about her kidnapping. It is a great mystery book so far and has kept me in suspense. I rate this book a six, as ten being the highest. I recommend this book to people under 14 that are looking for an easy read, enjoyable book. This is a good fantasy/fiction book for people who are interested in having a perfect world, , but perfect is not always the best I found out in this book. THE GIVER is by Lois Lowry and has won a Newberry Medal. Lois Lowry is an award winning author who has wrote other great books such as NUMBER THE STARS and ANASTASIA, ABSOLUTELY. I thought THE GIVER was a great book and I hope you decide to read it.
BLiNKYrox911@aol.com
I am reading a book entitled DANGEROUS GAMES. It is very interesting and exciting. It gives little hints as to what will happen next and is very exciting. I love the way it says everything and expressing kind of what each character is feeling and that helps me better understand this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who isn't looking for a short book but rather an enjoyable book and a book that is interesting and fun to read. On a scale from 1-10 I would give this book an 8 so far and check it out for the ending. This has so far been a very fun book for me to read.
RiCiG223@aol.com
I just read KILLING MR. GRIFFIN by Lois Duncan. It was a great book! I think every one should read it! I rate it only 4 stars though because I think they could have told what happened next. It left me say like "what happened next?"
