I just finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower and it was such an awesome book.  It is about this boy who is a freshman in high school who has no friends.  Until one day when he meets people and starts hanging out with them.  It is about all the problems he faces and peer pressure that comes along with high school.  I lent it to my friend and she loved it too.  I recommend it to anyone who likes books about teenagers and their problems, etc. IT'S AN AWESOME BOOK! READ IT!!!!!

Do you enjoy really sad love stories?A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks is the perfect book for you.  It is a book that scillfully combines humor, bravery, and sadness, through the eyes of a teen boy.  A bit predictable but the message the book delivers overshadows that.  The book is basically about a teen boy growing up in North Carolina who starts dating the ministers daughter.  He is kind of a trouble maker, and she is really goos and smart.  She teaches him about love, religion, and life.  The ending is VERY sad.  I reccomend it to anyone who craves sad love stories.

I have been reading Artemis Fowl, (in the future,) year 3000 is the setting. It's like a "fairy tale" gone crazy and I think pretty much anybody could enjoy it. My smaller brother, at the age of 7 thinks that Mary Pope Oseborne's books are quite enjoyable, also for a smaller child I would recommend Cupids Don't Flip Hamburgers and so forth into the series.

Three days ago, one of my best friend shoved a book across the table at me. We were in the Library... "working." She simply smiled happily. "Read it," Jordan insisted. "It's my Bible," she lated declared. "Sloppy Firsts," by Megan McCafferty, has been steadily winding its way through the sophomore girls' locker room at my school. This gritty, vivid, and oh-so believable tale strikes a cord with me.

"Sloppy Firsts" is the story of Jessica Darling, a Jersey suburbs girl in high school. Her best friend moves away, she stumbles in and out of love, and she struggles to find herself. I identified with this book. I dug it out of my backpack at ten o'clock at night on the day Jordan handed it to me. I read all night. I honestly couldn't put this book down... it was worth the lack of sleep.

Read it. It's amazing. Truly.

Here are my list of books:

1)Myrtel of Willendorf 4 stars
2)Everytime a Rainbow Dies 5 stars
3)Sisterhood of Traveling Pants 4 1/2 stars
4)The Good People of New York 3  1/2 stars
5)Monster 5 1/2 stars

Although I relatively enjoyed each book, I must say that my favorites were Everytime a rainbow dies and Monster. Both books were gripping and difficult to put down. I love the fact that the stories revolved around male characters and the difficulties they face growing up in society, never whining or feeling sorry for themselves, the main characters are fleshed out so vividly that you never want the story to end. If you must read a book at all this year let it be one of these, you will not be disappointed!

I'm reading To Kill A Mockingbird. It's an ok book. I'm reading it for English II. A lot of things they say don't make since right now because I have no idea why she is looking into the past on how her brother came about breaking his arm. ON my own I just finished The House on Mango Street. Which was a really good book. My Spanish teacher gave it to me and told me to read it because it relates a lot to me. It did we have the same problems but it's an excellent book. I want to try to find the autobiography of Cristina Saralegui My Life As A Blonde. Well if you can try to read The House on Mango Street.

"WE ALL FALL DOWN" by Robert cormier
This book relates to violence, drugs, and teenage drama. It's about a group of drunk kids who trash a house and assault a girl and leave her unconscious. One of the boys has family problems and really didn't want to be part of the trashing. He later falls in love with the girl's [whom the boys had almost killed] sister, and the girl's sister helps him get through his family and drug abuse. Later, she finds out he had a part in the trashing and leaves him. His whole nightmare starts over again. This book was definately a good book.

Hard Love
This is a great book  about a teenage zine (homemade magazine) writer who makes friends with another writer, but he begins to fall in love with her. The only problem is that she is lesbian. His family is having troubles, so John's life is all a mess. I highly recommend this book for all teens. out of 10 stars, 13 stars!

Over the Wall by john ritter 10 stars
Over the wall is GREAT! A young teen boy has an anger management problem. This interferes with his baseball life. Learning his family's past and understandiing himself helps him to cope. I love this book and all teens should read it.

The Series of Unfortunate Events
I love this series! Although they may seem childish to some, it does not interfere with the plot. Three kids become orphans when their parents die in a fire. They are adopted by COunt Olaf, who turns out to be a crook. Their adventures from place to place trying to escape from Olaf, who wants their large inheritence, are highly entertaining. Read all 8!

Someone like you
This is a really dramatic book but it is really good. A teenage girl describes her life when her friend becomes pregnant and the father dies, and the protagonist falls in love with a boy. It shows the girl growing up and finding her true self. Loved it, you will too.

All books by Gillian rubenstien
Space Demons, under the cat's eye, and Galax-arena are great books by her. Space demons is about a boy who gets a new computer game that takes him into the dangerous situations. Under the cat's eye is a fanatasy story about an Indian boy who goes to a boarding school in england, but something goes wrong. All of the children start acting the same. He and his two new friends must stop the perpetrator before they themselves get sucked into the horrible form. Finally, Galax-ARena is about 3 kids who get kidnappend and taken to outerspace. AT the Galax-arena, kids perform dangerous, deadly stunts, and their fear level is transferred to the alien audiencemembers, who enjoy it. The main character, a girl, discovers a secret that may take them home. I recommend all 3 of these books.

I am currently reading Gone With the Wind, and after I finish this by Januray, (for a book report), I would like to read Breakfast at Tiffanys. I have never seen the movie.  I give Q.W.T.W. at least a 3.5, but I am only on page 147 of 1024.  I will most likely change my mind! I do recommend it though!
