If you've never read Kurt Vonnegut, Breakfast of Champions is a good way to start. this book is insanely funny and unbelivably different. i can't give a synopsis without giving away the story, but i can say that our world makes perfect sense when seen through the eyes of Kurt Vonnegut. if you read this review, you owe it to yourself to try the book.

I am in the process of reading a book called Dicey's Song! the author is cynthia voigt! i am only reading this book for a novel study but now that i am into the book its awsome reading!! I would recommend it to teens or preteens that lke human dramma!
the book is about a 13 years old girl who since she was 6 years of age has had to play the role of the mother for her 3 siblings! Now that they have moved in wioth their Grandmother she has to learn to let go of them! But dicey also has some inner conflict, shes bored with school, and everyone around her but soon enough she will learn that everyone has a lesson to give and alos one to learn! This book may sound boring but once u have read the first 2 chapters you will be inside dicey's head and see everything thats going on and with the humour in thus book the seriousness of it dies out a little! But i wouldn't call it comedy! Dicey has problems and will hopefully either fnd a way to solve them or find a way to cope with them!!!!

this is one of the best books i've ever read and trust me i read quite a lot. it's about a normal teenage girl whose "perfect" sister runs away with her boyfriend. she was very confused about her sister when she meets a guy from a different school. he's different than anyone she knows and she is somehow drawn to him. she seems to run into him everywhere and soon enough they are dating steady, but he is mixed up with drugs and has abuse issues from his father. everything was perfect until he begans to be violent towards her. this is an amazing book that leaves nothing unanswered. i could not put it down.

My Number One Picks!

The Princess Diaries By: Meg Cabot

Princess in the Spotlight By: Meg Cabot

The Bad Beginning By: Lemony Snicket

The Reptile Room By: Lemony Snicket

I love these authors they are great! But beware, Meg Cabot's books are funny and sometimes cheerful, but Lemony Snicket's books are gloomy, and dark. Totally different authors but totally awesome books.
By the way I love this site!
Thanks alot!

Her mother keeps moving because hospitals are getting suspicious about why Laurie's in there so much. She doesn't know what to do so she confides in her step brother Tim. They keep quiet about it til something happens that shouldn't have. 5 star. It's a wonderful touching story.
*The power of two-I can't remember who the author is but it's a series called T*Witches. Alex & Cam are identical twins yet they didn't meet til they were 15. They have powers. Cam can see bad things happen & Alex can hear what they're thinking. It's really good & exciting!! 5 star. Plus there are 4 books in the series( the 5th one comes out in July )
*Hindenburg 1937 by Cameron Dokey. This is a tear jerker. It's so wonderfully romantic. I can't say too much cuz it would give it away. Just read it!!!!!!!! 5 star & 2 thumbs up!
*The witch of blackbird pond. I have read this book 15 times at least & I never get tired of it. It's a wonderful book. Kit Tyler comes from Barbados to live with her aunt & uncle in Massachusetts. Everything is different for her, then she meets a kind old lady who becomes one of her dearest friends. Then Hannah ( her friend ) is accused of Witchcraft & then Kit too is accused. It's one of the best books ever. 5 star & 2 thumbs up!!!!
*Gone with the wind. My favorite book of all time. It's the most romantic book ever. Scarlett O'Hara is definetly one of my heros!!! 5 star 2 thumbs up!!!

If you are a teenager you absolutley need to read these books:

1) ICE by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor is about a 13 year old girl who gets sent to live with her gramma for a year because she refuses to talk to her mother after her dad mysteriously disappears. It is her search for her father and for herself. I give this book ***** stars and I recommend this book to any teenage girl because I'm sure you will like it. It is really easy to relate to. I don't think this book is for guys. This book made me cry and it is really, really good.

2) LOOKING FOR ALIBRANDI by Melina Marchetta is about a confused 16 year old girl looking for herself. I give it 4 and a half stars and would recommend it to any teenage girl. Again - I don't think this book is for guys. I don't think this book would be good for anyone under the age of 12. You should read it. It is easy to relate to.

3) CUCKOO IN THE NEST by Michelle Magorian is about a young guy, living in England I think. His family is going through hard times, but every Friday night he manages to go to the theatre. He loves the theatre and he feels at home there and wants to become an actor, but his father diasapproves of it. This is his story. Hi! I just finished reading The Summerhouse by Jude Deveraux. It was about these women met at the DMV on their 21st birthday....and now after 19 years they agree to meet again to share their birthdays together. OK, your probably thinking why did she pick that book? I honestly do not know, I was desperate for something to read. However I wish that I had picked somethhing else. Before buying this novel I looked up what kind of stories she wrote and it listed her in the romance section. Let me tell you there was NO romance at all, it must have been a miss print. I tried to keep an open mind throughout the story, that is why I read it all the way through, but there was no hope. I give this book a 1 out of 10--don't waste your time. I'm if I may have been harsh, but I'm telling the truth.

I have read Among the Hidden by Margret Haddix Peterson and I thought it was a great book. It was a inspirational because this little boy and this little girl had so much guts. They want to stand up to the government because they don't want to be 'shadow children' anymore. There was a Population law where families could have only 2 children and if there was a 3rd child, he/she was a shoadow child. They all had to be hidden from the world. Until one day....
