sourthang805@aol.com
Hi,I am your average, spunky, punky, and rambunctious, 14 year-old girl. But my grasp for the sarcastic and comical writtings of Meg Cabot are anything but average. So it makes it really hard to narrow down her list to one book. But out of all of meg cabot's books, i'd have to say that my favorite is "All American Girl". Meg Cabot's sarcastic and realisticly fictional, comical story of Samantha Madison and her adventurous life after saving the President of the United States. When Samantha Madison decides to skip art lessons, she didnt expect to jump a sniper, just in the knick of time, saving the leader of the free world. Now her whole life has changed, and one of the biggest things that she now has to worry about, is the fact that the President's son, just might have like her. I love all of Meg Cabot's books, but I love the personality and the brutal truth that she expresses through Samantha Madison. She's corcky, spunky, rebellious, and a perfect romodel for any gi!
rl who is a little out of sync from the rest of the world. I give it a 10 out of 10.

I recommend anime or manga. I reccomend these because they ROCK! Of all of them the one that I love the most is Inuyasha or Fushigi Yugi. They are so cool even though you read them right to left instead of left to right but that just makes them cooler! I have read 13 different series of anime and all of them are cool. Some are confusing but once you read the whole series of them you start to understand them alot more than when toy started the series. I JUST LOVE THEM ALL!!!

sweet_candy_fairy@yahoo.com
I just finished the second book of the nine lives of chole king it is now one of my favoite books it kept me in suspense and the writer seems very understanding almost as if it actually happened to her and she remembers every bit of it. It was really cool, think everyone should read it.

worshipt3hbass@gmail.com
I have recently completed Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. Now, you may be asking..."Why is this seventeen-year-old-girl reading THAT?", but I must tell you, it is an extremely thrilling, good read.

Angels and Demons takes a bigger look and the theological side--it mixes Science and Religion...which is a no-no on both sides. I'll have you know this is for anyone no matter your denomination. Even as an Athiest, I enjoyed this like no other. It begins with the murder at CERN--a European scientific facility and spirals out of control. It then takes you on the spiralling past of a secret organization known as the Illuminati. By the end of this novel, you will have believed in miracles, lost hope and have thought Robert Langdon is the luckiest man on the face of the Earth.

This is for the older generation of teens--I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 15 simply because of the material. There are several gruesome murders that I would not subject anyone too...except myself, of course. In case you did not know, this is s sort of prequal to The DaVinci Code, which I plan on reading in the near future.

I give this as many stars as I can possibly give it and beyond that--the language is vivid, the plot is imaginitive, there are so many red herrings it will make your head spin, and, if nothing else, the brands are the coolest things. You could sit there for hours on end turning the book upside-down the right-side-up again.

chatterbox891@hotmail.com
Right now I am reading "The Great God Pan" by Donna Jo Napoli! It isn't a very long novel but I like Greek mythology and cute love stories! Check it out!

leo_07@sbcglobal.net
I just got finished reading Both Sides of Time by Caroline B. Cooney. I loved this book so much! It's a story about love, fantasy, and murder all wrapped into one page-turning read. I told all my friends about it and they all finished it in one day. The book was published in 1995, so it may be hard to track down. I found mine, by chance, at a garage sale. The book is part of a series. I also own the companion book to Both Sides of Time, which is Out of Time. This series of books are so good and I encourage you to take the time to find them!

I recently read "Pop Princess" by Rachel Cohn, and I was surprised how good it was. I couldn't put it down! It is about a girl who is discovered and who is made into a major pop star. Although it may sound shallow it faces peer pressure and what many people have to face to supposedly "make it big."

hellobob9696@yahoo.com
I'm reading The Mediator books by Meg Cabot, and their great. I give them 4 1/2 stars.

fendergrrl@comcast.net

Once upon a Marigold by: Jean
Ferris.4 stars. This book is so good you will love it. At first i was just putting it off to read it the next day and then i finally was so bored and picked up the book and started reading it. Each page went flying really quickly i just couldnt stop! In the end I was actually depressed it ended. Well anyway it was about a boy who escaped and left his parents because he didnt like his clothes (he was a prince..imagine what kind of things that they pushed on him) well anyway he escaped and hid in the bushes and was found by a troll. Years pass and he falls in love with a girl who he spied on for many years with his telescope. He decides to go work in her castle and but they were already best friends . and now i really dont want to spoil the rest of the book so you'll just have to readm it. You'll really love it!!!!!!

DClark8601@aol.com
I am reading Like the Red Panda by Andrea Seigel. It is ABSOLUTELY WOMDERFUL!It's very realistic and an ideal read for teens! This book is about Stella, a senior in high school, who has encountered many difficult transitions through out the past years. Not only does she have to deal with her parents death of a drug overdose at a young age, but she also has to deal with being a foster kid and a crazy grandpa, who tries to commit suicide. Stella doesn't focus much on all the bad, but she turns the bad situations into humorous anecdotes! This book is definitely a four star read! If I could give this book more stars, I definitely would! One of my favorite quotes from the book is: "You don't ever know how happy you are until you remember how sad you once were and vice versa. Nothing is anything until I decide to hold nothing next to something, and declare that I see a difference." Andrea Siegel is an absolute genius! I hope she continues her writing career so she can produce more!
intriguing reads!

I read "Red Sky in the Monrning" by Elizabeth Laird...in three hours. It was that good. written in the first person, the main character Anne has an amasing personality that sucks you straight into her world and that of her dear disabled brother, Ben. This is a very touching story, and one that captures the whole essence of love betweent a brother and a sister perfectly. I have also been reading the emotional "Looking for JJ" by Anna Cassidy. Every moment of the story was gripping with unexpected twists in the plot. Both were amazing books.

Mouse Tales by Davide Koenig. It is all about how Disneyland was built and all the CRAZY stuff that happens there. Stories about rude guests are my favorite. Like once, when Disneyland had skyway ride, a teenager spit off the side and it landed on one of the parks executives and the guy ran to the end of the ride and caught the spitter. Also , did you know that when a jungle cruise ride operator is on their final day they often jumo into the lagoon. LOTS OF FUN!!!

I just read The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. I became interested when I heard of there was going to be an anime version of the story. It is a fantastic novel.
Summary: "Dashing young Edmond Dantès has everything. He is engaged to a beautiful woman, is about to become the captain of a ship, and is well liked by almost everyone. But his perfect life is shattered when he is framed by a jealous rival and thrown into a dark prison cell for 14 years.

I'm reading Betrayal in Death by J.D.Robb...don't let the title fool you,it's not sadist or nothing.it's ...in Death because it tells the story of how a homicide cop solves her cases...in the future.believe me,this is not something weird or silly its really cool.the changes are just basic...like most of their stuff(lights, computer, etc) is voice activated and stuff. for those of u who know her better, J.D.Robb,is actually Nora Roberts...it's a series that's why she used a different name,to differentiate. the cop...Lieutenant Eve Dallas has is definetly not your average woman.she, her husband and her investigative team make it soooooooooo interesting,it's really hard to put down.generally,the...in Death series are tight! i give Betrayal 5 out of 5stars.it's THAT! good.

rebel1russ@yahoo.com
Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I loved The Da Vinci Code and this book carries on with that same "theme" of controversial religous issues. It also talks a lot about chemsitry and science which has made that subject far more interesting than it ever was. Heck who knew that literature about antimatter, secret cults, murders, and above all science could be this fun! 5/5

edude89@tds.net
Magyk by Angie Sage 5/5
The Bartimeus Trilogy 5/5

Hey, I've been reading a lot.
Right now I am reading Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden - very intriguing!
I recently read The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje. Ondaatje's format is hard to follow and his writing often elliptical. I did not enjoy it, and think it is over-rated. 2 stars.
I also read a book called A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving. It was a great book about a dwarfish boy named Owen Meany, who believes he was sent down by God to perform a mission. The ending was heart-wrenching. 5 stars.

The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood was also awesome - a dystopian tale where woman's only purpose is to reproduce and replenish the population. Eerie. 5 stars.

All of the books I mentioned are recommended. They are all thought-provoking, unique books that are worth the read!

I have a few books to recommend. For those of you who like classics read The Catcher in The Rye by; J.D. Salinger. This book really portrays the life of a teenager and is really good. If any of you have read The Catcher in the Rye I recommend the book Fade by; Robert Cormier. This is a bok with a charcter like Holden Caufield and the Invisible Man together. For teen girls that want to read a series try Gossip Girls, The A-List or The Clique. IF ya want any other books to read, recommendations or ideas for me e-mail me! :)

I think I'll recommend Catch-22. Not only is it an AP English read, it's hilarious in an absurdist kind of way. Even the way the story unfolds is crazy, jumping back and forth between different points in time. Trust me, it's good stuff.

Katie_TP@yahoo.com

I just finished reading 'The Great Gatsby' by F. Scott Fitzgerald, i had to read it for school, but i really enjoyed it. It was easy to read and entertaining.
Now i'm reading The Insiders by J. Minter, i've only started it, but so far it's intriguing. I wouldn't suggest to begin reading it straight after reading the great gatsby though, because the language of both books are so diverse. I'm finding that the insiders language is quite simple, and it's taken me a while to 'get into it', but the story is still good. Next on my list is either 'The sisterhood of the travelling pants' or 'Catcher in the rye'.

vickieobamwonyi@bellsouth.net
I read the first book of the clique and I thought it was great believe it was the first book the authour had ever written .I actually expected the book to be kind of lame because she was a first time writer and all my friends tell me i ussually harshly critisize books because I go to an arts school and my arts area happens to be creative Writing so if I say it's good it's probally pretty good.I highly recommend this book!!

aikensangel@bellsouth.net
I am currently reading The Da Vinci Code. It is an awesome book filled with historical facts that are pulled into a very good story. I highly recommemd this book to anyone who thinks history is always boring (because they will be proven wrong) and who likes a good puzzle. I give it 4 and 1/2 stars.

You guys should read, if you already haven't, "Witch Child" by Celia Reeves. It tells how a young girl grows up without family goes to live with people she doesn't know. This book tells the hardships and challengs a girl with no famliy grows up with Indians, preachers, and a new country. I can't wait to read the second one. I give this book a 5 out of 5.

I am a 14-yr-old girl and i have finished the confessions of Georgia Nicholson series. I can't wait for the 6th one to come out. But i thought this series was really funny and had a good perspective on a teenage girls's life. It was slightly exagerated though. My friend and i have even started using like some of the words and sayings from the books.
if anyone is interested in joining my "e-mail book club" that would be cool. I have just started it and i would like to hear what other people are reading. So e-mail me if you would like to join.

You absoloutely have to read the first bokk in the Wereling series. It's great, full of suspence and really different from all the usual books.

A great must read book is Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. A bit old fashioned, maybe. But once you imagine Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy, the book will have a whole new interesting meaning!

SPY HIGH SERIES - AJ BUTCHER
Six teenaged trainees. One school for spies and counter-espionage. A frenzy of action, gadgetry and crazed megalomaniacs. And more sloshing hormones than a Dawson’s Creek Sauna Special. Welcome to Spy High
They can hack any computer, break any code, take out bad guys with SleepShot from two hundred metres, and vanish utterly without trace. The one thing Bond Team haven’t got their heads round is, er, bonding. Jake and Ben want to kill each other, Jen thinks Lori is an airhead bimbo, and the only thing Eddie respects about Cally is her butt. All this is very bad news. Because if they don’t get it together for their first term exams, if they can't defeat the infamous Stromfeld Program, then they can forget about ever graduating Spy High. And with a mind-wipe greeting all those who flunk out, we mean that quite literally.

These books are my all time fav series! Theyre gripping, fast moving and involve everything that a great books should, including plenty of romance! 10+++ Interested? visit www.spyit.co.uk for more info and be sure to join the forums!

A Time to Kill by John Grishammis probably the greatest book i have ever read. It makes you come to realize the pain and suffering blacks had to go through in the rural areas of mississppi. A young black girl of about 7 was brutally rapped countless time by two white young men and tied to a tree were they would urinate on her and throw beer and the blood from the multiple beatings she recived all over her body until the dirt under her was like a stick glue and she couldbarely move. Then after wards they tried to hang her but it wouldn't work so they threw her in a river in hopes she would drowned. She was saved by other men fishing and told the police what happened. They caught the men and they got off until daddy found out borrowed a gun and well took the law into his own hands. It's probably the greatest book you wil ever read if you could get the chance.

Right now I'm reading a book called 'All I Want is Forever' by Lynn Emery. It was about this girl named Talia. Here is what it says on the back:

Talia Marchand has come a long way from Pointe Coupee Parish to Washington, D.C.--and this smart and beautiful political consultant never wants to go back. But the pasty and painful family responsibility are calling her home to tiny Rougon--and to Derrick Guillory.

As tempting as the richest chocolate, Derrick shared a first passion w/ Talia when they were both young and troubled--and a dark, deep, and dangerous secret. Now an investigator for the local D.A., he thinks he's over the lady who was his world back in the day. But the years haven't changed his feelings for Talia--and he finds it impossible to deny what's meant to be. Talia thought she could get away; Derrick thought he could forget. And now that they're together again, love's true promise must be honored--and the ghosts that have haunted their lives must finally be destroyed.

THIS BOOK WAS REAAALL GOOD. IT AIN'T JUST ABOUT LOVE. THEY HAVE ALOTTA ACTION IN THIS STORY. IT IS ABOUT HER MOM KILLING SOMEONE AND HOW THEY COVER IT UP TOO. GO LOOK THAT BOOK UP ONLINE TO GET THE WHOLE STORY. BWA-BYE NOW.

I highly reccomend Can You Keep A Secret? by Sophie Kinsella. It is a fantastic and hilarious book. I recently had a "Silent" reading period in English class. Everyone was reading a very sad and depressing book about a boy escaping from a concentration camp while I was reading Can You Keep A Secret? I kept bursting out in hilaria at simple but very funny jokes in the book. I reccomend it to anyone interested in a good read.
