Sweep: Origins by Cate Tiernan
Rating: 5 Stars
This was the greatest book at of the series so far. I was so intrigued that I was reading it up to 2 A.M. These books are great because you can skip a book and still know what is going on. I would love for people to read them too.

Paige

This book was very entertaining. I could relate to a lot of the caracters very easily. There are also some great knitting projects in the back. Read this! You'll be hooked!!

Overnight Sensation by Trish Cook
Rating: 5 Stars
I just read OVERNIGHT SENSATION by Trish Cook --- it's a sequel to SO LYRICAL, which came out last May. This book "rocked" and I would recommend it to everyone!!!

Raquel
A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book. It was written in a unique format, but I loved it that way. A lot of words are repeated for emphasis, which is great. You feel like you are living through James. Great Book =)

Blessie
A Little Book on the Human Shadow by Robert Bly
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is about the feeling of depression or sadness of humans. It has showed me that loneliness dosen't just fly out of the blue, it actually develops inside ourselves without really realizing it.

Kelsey
Moonrise (Warriors: The New Prophecy #3) by Erin Hunter
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a very good book. I am starting to get used to the point of veiw switching throughout the story, but I don't like how the main points of view change. (Ex. 1st book: Midnight - points of veiw : Brambleclaw, Leafpaw. 2nd book: Moonrise - points of veiw: Stormfur, Leafpaw.) All in all, the book was worth reading.

Kelsey
Love Hina by Ken Akamatsu
Rating: 5 Stars
I like the plot of the series, but what happens throughout the book is kind of perverted. This manga is for mature teens so I guess that is why...

Kelsey
Inu-Yasha by Rumiko Takahashi
Rating: 4 Stars
I really liked this manga. It has a lot of action in it, but it does seem a little juvenile, though. Oh well, I like it and if you like to read manga books you should read this.

Bekah
Hope Was Here by Joan Bauer
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book so much. Joan Bauer is amazing when it comes to capturing emotions on paper. When I read HOPE WAS HERE, I felt like I was right there, part of the story, watching it unfold before my eyes. I recommend this book to anyone who likes good to triumph or bad.

Sarah

The Crimes and Punishments of Miss Payne by Barry Jonsberg
Rating: 5 Stars
This was the best book I have ever read. It's about a girl named Calma and her good friend, Kiffo. Calma has a problem with her mother, who works two jobs and rarely has anytime to talk to her. Kiffo has some problems, but he is a good person. This is a great book and when you read it you'll feel the same way I do.

Maddie
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
Rating: 4 Stars
ROMEO AND JULIET is a classic love story. It is very well written and probably best read in a modern english version to understand the full beauty of the play. I'd recommend a SparkNotes No Fear Shakespeare version.

Angie
Last Breath (Body of Evidence) by Christopher Golden and Rick Hautala
Rating: 5 Stars
I'm almost finished with this book and it is, by far, the BEST book I have ever read!!!

Susie
A Map of Glass by Jane Urquhart
Rating: 5 Stars
This book weaves together two stories; one, in present time, is about an (autistic?) woman, Sylvia, who is trying to find answers about the death of her lover, Andrew, through the young boy who found Andrew's body. Andrew is a historical map maker. The second story is about Andrew's past and the empire his ansestors left for him. This part of the story takes place in the late 1800s.

Lily A.
Second Helpings by Megan Mccafferty
Rating: 5 Stars
SECOND HELPINGS is the sequel to SLOPPY FIRSTS: A NOVEL, and I have to say that these two books have been an absolute pleasure to read. Although it takes on a mature plot, it keeps you amused until the last word. SECOND HELPINGS is hilarious, witty, and so down-to-earth. High school girls will love it. You'll find yourself laughing out loud and rooting for the main character, Jessica, to get through her tough times and come out on top. When you finish this book, you'll be craving the third installment, which is coming out in April of 2006.

Karen
Art Geeks and Prom Queens by Alyson Noel

Emily
Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson

This book kept its promise on the cover by keeping me turning pages til the end. It was really exciting, but I would have enjoyed it more if there had been a little less language.

Ruth Britton
Rani & Sukh by Bali Rai
Rating: 5 Stars
I think this book is amazing. It explores a lot of sometimes possessive cultures, and the way they can unfortunately clash --- sometimes very harshly. It includes a lot of the things that young people look for in a book: love, hate, friendship, violence, family conflict, and much more!

Saira
Bucking The Sarge by Christopher Paul Curtis
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is awesome!

Agnes
Alex Rider by Anthony Horowitz
Rating: 5 Stars
An excellent and action-packed book full of comic adventures.

Hannah
So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this book. It has an intriguing plot that makes you really wonder what 'cool' really is. All the random tidbits of information scattered throughout the pages are amusing and make the read a little less like complete fiction and more like something that could have really happened. Great read. I'd suggest it to anyone!

Isuru
Molly Moon Stops the World by Georgia Byng
Rating: 4 Stars
Although it's about a 10-year-old girl, the story is really great. Molly is an orphan, and she can hypnotize other people. It is really great and I really enjoyed it!!!

Helen
Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis
Rating: 3 Stars
This book taught me a great deal about life in Afghanistan. It was interesting to follow the footsteps of a girl living under the Taliban regime. I agree with other reviewers, however, in thinking that the ending is contrived.

TA
Dreamland by Sarah Dessen

Hagridshelper

Anabel
The Story Of A Million Years by David Huddle
Rating: 5 Stars
Short, but deep with impact. I enjoyed the book because it showed problems with marriage that didn't seem cliched or made up. This was a real eye opener for youth. Each chapter is narrated by a different character, but it is one coherent plot.

This is the best story I've ever read. It makes you wonder about an animal's or another person's point of view on the world. It also gives you good details. Just try to read it on your own time --- I got in trouble when I didn't finish my homework.

Black cat13

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Rating: 4 Stars
This was one of the best books I've read all year! When Gemma's mother is killed in India, she is sent to Spence, a boarding school in England. She finds out she can visit the realms, and does so along with Felicity, Pippa, and Ann. Many things happen and you start to understand the characters. Even though this book is set in the Victorian Era, the characters seem very real. I probably haven't explained the plot very well, but take my advice. This is an awesome book. Read it!

Randi

Midnighters Series by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 4 Stars
This series is amazng so far. The first book, THE SECRET HOUR, was the best, and the second one, TOUCHING DARKNESS, didn't disappoint. These books are about five kids who at midnight experience an hour only they know about. The five "Midnighters" must use their individual talents to save their small town, Bixby, and themselves from the "darklings" who haunt this hour of "blue-time." Look out for the last enstallment of the trilogy, BLUE NOON, coming soon. Scott Westerfeld has become one of my favorite authors. Also read UGLIES, PRETTIES, and any Garth Nix books if you love this kind of fantasy.

Rating: 5 Stars
This thriller keeps you guessing until the end. "The Broker" was imprisoned for 6 years for selling intelligence, from the US and other countries, when an outgoing U.S. President grants him a pardon. The CIA is behind this mysterious pardon and they have him shipped to Italy on the pretenses of keeping him safe from the many countries that want him dead. What they haven't told him is that the U.S. is one of those countries. This book is so engrossing that you won't even realize you're reading and you'll never see the end coming.

This is the best book I've ever read. It's a true diary about a 15-year-old girl in 1966 (Hippie Years) and her daily struggle to escape the pull of the drug world. This is the only book I've ever read twice and both times I've never gotten bored with it. The only thing I didn't really like about it was the ending. But it's still the best book I've ever read.

Timeline by Michael Crichton
Rating: 4 Stars
Wow, this book was really good. The beginning was a bit slow, but once you got further in the book, things started to pick up. Of course there are several complications, and throughout, you learn interesting facts about the Middle Ages in Europe. This is a great read!

Memoirs Of A Geisha by Arthur Golden
Rating: 5 Stars
MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA is an excellent read. Taking place in Japan, the story is about how a fisherman's daughter becomes and enchanting Geisha in one of the top geisha cities in Japan. Although this book has a high vocabulary level, it is enjoyable to read and is very entertaining.

Kelsey
Warriors - The New Prophecy #1: Midnight by Erin Hunter
Rating: 4 Stars
I have been a fan of the "Warriors" series for a while now, but this book wasn't as good as the others. I miss the fact that the veiw point isn't from Firestar anymore, but from Brambleclaw, and switches to Leafpaw. I also don't like the fact that Firestar has kits, Ferncloud is grown and has had 2 litters of kits and all the apprentices are warriors because I missed all of that and now they are just there. I took me a while to get used to that, but after a few chapters it was a really good book.

Kelsey
Warriors: The Darkest Hour by Erin Hunter

This book was one of the best in the series. It made me a little sad that this would be the last book in the old prophecy. It was still a great book.

Brittanyy

Rating: 5 Stars
I am in the middle of reading this series. I have already gotten 2 of my other friends into it as well. I really like these books. They are about 4 girls who have weird powers. Catty can travel back in time, Jimena has premonitions, Vanessa becomes invisible, and Serena can read minds. They go through a ton of adventures together, fighting the ultimite source of evil. I would recommend it to anyone who likes this sort of thing. They are very good and I really enjoy them. All my friends do, too.

This book has a lot of pictures in it. It was a good adventure story and I like most of the characters, even though some of them were kind of weird. Overall, ABARAT was a good fantasy book and adventure story.

Tithe by Holly Black

A Really Nice Prom Mess by Brian Sloan
Rating: 5 Stars
I found this book at a friend's house and picked it up. It was hilarious! It's definitely not your average prom story --- it's about two gay guys on a double date that goes very wrong. And then the police and strippers and drug dealers get involved! But, it's also surprisingly sweet, despite all that craziness. It has great characters, who are all very believable in a way... like people you might know at school.

GINGERBREAD is a very good book, and I can relate to everything in it. Well, except the secret... because I didn't have one of those!

Pretties by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 5 Stars
This sequel to UGLIES is an amazing book. Tally's quest to figure out what is right against wrong amidst a world somewhere ahead of ours is intense. Also, one of the most interesting questions is posed: Do you love someone for who they are, or how they look?

The It Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar
Rating: 5 Stars
I'm not a real fan of the cheesiness of GOSSIP GIRL, and I guess this isn't that far of a stretch... but Jenny is a character I liked, so I picked it up. The quirky problems she gets into and anticipation makes it a page turner.

Pretty Things by Sarra Manning

It's the best --- It's about a girl and a gay guy. It's really funny!!!

Caribbean Cruising by Rachel Hawthorne
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the best book I've ever read.

Just Me!
The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud
Rating: 4 Stars
I love fantasy! However, i don't like when there's too much of it (e.g.: the hero always wins because he can do any magic he wants). That is exactly why this book won me over! I like the fact that there aren't just two sides: good and bad. Instead, you have to decide for yourself who to root for! I also like how Stroud goes deep into each character's life to help explain why each is the way he/she is. The reason this book didn't get 5 stars is because it didn't really make you stop to think about the words you were reading. Nevertheless THE AMULET OF SAMARKAND is still a wonderful book!

The Chrysalids by John Wyndham
Rating: 3 Stars
This book was okay, the beginning was very boring and hard to get into. But, as the book progressed, it got more interesting. The middle and end of the book were captivating. Overall, it was very well written.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is absolutely brilliant. Taking place in the 18th century, this was a definite page turner from beginning to end. Gemma Doyle, sixteen, has visions of things that happen before they actually take place. With a vision that takes her mother from her, she realizes her great power. She is sent to an all-girls school in London, where the students are taught to behave properly so they will grow up to be precise women. Gemma is mysterious and very different from all the other girls. She becomes friends with three girls who want more than to be locked up in the school and forced act a certain way --- they want freedom, they want to make their own choices, they want a breath of fresh air... as does Gemma. So, the four girls create an Order (a club) outside the school grounds in a cave, where they share their secrets and hopes with each other. They discover Gemma's secret to open the realms, a realm where fantasies feel real and you never want to leave, full of power, beauty, and wit. This book is amazing.... I recommend it to all girls, and if you don't read it, you are definitely missing out! I can't wait to read the sequel, REBEL ANGELS!

The Black Book: Diary of a Teenage Stud Vol 4 by Jonah Black
Rating: 3 Stars
If you liked THE CATCHER IN THE RYE, than you will definitely enjoy Jonah Black. He reminds me a lot of Holden Caulfield. The book genre would probably be romance, but it has a pinch of mystery as well.
