It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is fantastic. It's about a boy who's life is going well, but then something happens, and he becomes kind of depressed and weird. I read it a month or so ago, so I'm not sure how much I can say without giving it all away, but you HAVE to read it. It's one of the best books I've ever read. (And I've read a lot of books.)

Michelle L
So You Want to Be a Wizard by Diane Duane
Rating: 4 Stars
Original, magical, interesting.

Sam
Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor
Rating: 4 Stars
Great details. It made me seem like part of the book. Some parts could have been written differently to make it flow smoother. It's kind of depressing and it really makes you feel sorry for black people in times if racism. I recommend this book to people, ages 11-15, who know about the time of racism (because at that age the book is easily comprehended).

Angie
Chase by Jessie Haas
Rating: 2 Stars
This is an ARC, and I'm honestly not enjoying it. It is written in a coarse first person that tends to grate and bore. I'm having a hard time getting through it. It's about a boy who witnesses a murder and begins to be chased, so he runs. It sounds exciting, I know, but it really isn't.

Sarah
Girls We Love by J. Minter
Rating: 4 Stars
I'm not done, but it's a good book so far.

Theresa
Forever in Blue by Ann Brashares
Rating: 4 Stars
I have not yet read this book, but I would love to. I have read the first one and it was awesome.

Miranda
The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton
Rating: 5 Stars
This is truly an amazing story. It will open your eyes to how one event can trigger so many problems.

Angie
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Rating: 5 Stars
Elizabeth Bennet is just as much a heroine in this day and age as she must have been to the 19th century! The timeless tale of her and Mr. Darcy's romance is better than ever when I read the second time around. The wit, the intelligence, and the truly fantastic story doesn't wear in its rereading, but grows in beauty!

Ashston
Prom by Laurie Halse Anderson
Rating: 5 Stars
I reallly like this book. Girls would enjoy it the most.

Ieshangie
The Skin I'm In by Sharon G. Flake
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is very interesting for teens. I wouldn't be suprised if adults find it interesting too. It has almost everything in it --- love, hatred, jealousy, and courage. It makes you not mind being black or white. Make sure you read it if you love novels.

Size 14 Is Not Fat Either by Meg Cabot
Rating: 5 Stars
This was one of Meg's better books. I heard that the last 1-800-Where-R-U book wasn't the best. I read SIZE 14 IS NOT FAT EITHER in one day and couldn't put it down. It was a fun and exciting book.

Cara

I think girls out there over the age of 12 should read this, along with the others in the series! Have fun reading!!!

Courtney B.
Girl at Sea by Maureen Johnson
Rating: 4 Stars
The author tied in a little bit of history with the main character's story without making it boring. Johnson also kept her normal style of writing, which we all know and love.

Life of Pi by Yann Martel
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is a great relief from my recent chick lit books! It is told in the persepctive of Pi, who finds himself stranded on a lifeboat with a tiger. Read the book to find out how Pi survives based on instinct. LIFE OF PI breaks all sterotypes and compels you to read until dawn!

Rating: 4 Stars
A very good book. It's thought provoking, and questions the meaning of beauty, individuality, and betrayal.

Juwairia
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This is an absolutely amazing book. It is the sequel to TWILIGHT and is just as intriguing and entertaining. The books are about a vampire family living in the midst of regular human beings, and their relationship with the one human (or so they think) who knows the truth about them. Bella Swan is trying to cope with her knowledge and love for the vampires, and the fact that everyone is telling her to stay away from them. A real page-turner of a book, it keeps readers constantly craving more. NEW MOON and TWILIGHT are, by far, the best books I've ever read.

Danielle
Twilight by Meg Cabot
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the last book in The Mediator series and a great end to the series.

Brian
Wireless in the Fabric of Time by E. I. Johnson
Rating: 5 Stars
WIRELESS IN THE FABRIC OF TIME is an extraordinary, brilliant book. The protagonist is an intelligent, assertive typical college student. Von Muir Carmichael lives and breathes with his electronic devices, games, fraternity friends and parties. His world revolves around them, including his thirty-five pound cat, and ever-grouchy dog. His attitudes toward his love life, family, and the law are above average compared to a typical college guy. He is ready to be on his own after graduation to make his mark on the real world. Unfortunately, something else is meant to happen. You'll need to buy the book and find out…

My buddies and I have all the reasons why we decided the book is fun and such a great novel. It’s funny, deeply moving, and you‘ll love the cliff-hanger. I felt I was there with Von while reading the book. It’s clear that the author intended to write a book that will remain one of the greatest works of fiction of all time.

This is a magnificent novel. Mr. Johnson is a brilliant new writer. His characters are fascinating, and my friends and I enjoyed them. The mystery about this transcendent novel only deepens the impact of the book!

What is so exceptionally noteworthy about WIRELESS is that it's so totally different from its creative quality. The author puts an over-the-top astounding combination of fantasy, olden-days and storytelling. This is one of those unique books that demands to be read.

The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen

Hayley
Candy Floss by Jaqueline Wilson
Rating: 5 Stars
It is a good little story about how hard it is to choose who you love most in your family, and how hard it is to have divorced parents. It kept me guessing what was going to happen in Floss's life.

Hayley
One Whole & Perfect Day by Judith Clarke
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is quite good and has a few different main characters instead of just one. It is a great book if you want to read about how different families can be.

Glenda
The Key to the Golden Firebird by Maureen Johnson
Rating: 5 Stars
I had read 13 LITTLE BLUE ENVELOPES (awesome, by the way), and decided to check out more books by Maureen Johnson, and I found this one. Awesome. It's one of the best books I've ever read. It sort of reminds me of Sarah Dessen books. The structure of the book builds up to this big emotional thing. It's about three sisters whose father recently passed away, and how their lives had changed dramatically and economically. The mother works long hours. The oldest sister, Brooks, gets drunk every other day. The youngest sister, Palmer, is left pretty much to take care of herself and play softball. And May is left to try keep the family together and fails her driving test. You get to know Pete, who's been May's enemy since as long as she can remember, and who tries to teach her to drive. You'll totally fall in love with book. I truly recommend it if you like books by Sarah Dessen and by Maureen Johnson.

Katie

Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 5 Stars
I think that everyone should literally be forced to read this book, because if you haven't, then you have no idea what a good book is. It's not just that, either...but I promise that if you read it, you will not regret it. This book is amazing and it will have you on the edge of your seat every second! Mr. Westerfeld has a way of making you fall in love and care about each of his characters. I think this book deserves way more than 5 stars!

Amani T.
Sweetblood by Pete Hautman
Rating: 5 Stars
16-year-old Lucy Szabo is a diabetic Goth. But in her own eyes, she is a vampire. When she meets cute-in-a-gothic-way Dylan, she is sucked into a world of partying, the Gothic culture, and carelessness. This book really showed me how dangerous untreated diabetes can get, and how hard it is to keep oneself healthy under many conditions. I have never read anything like it; the way it is written gives you a real sense of what diabetes is like. I hope you enjoy it!

Molly
New Moon by Stephanie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this! I've read the first book in the series, TWILIGHT, 4 times and I just finished NEW MOON. I can't wait to read it again!! I recommend this book for almost anyone if you like adventure, romance and fantasy put together. I wasn't sure if I'd like it because it's a romance, which is not really my thing, but this is one of the best books ever! Read it!

***Cami***
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
I know TWILIGHT has already been recommended here about a million times, but one more time can't hurt =b

So, if you haven't read it yet, you should do yourself a favor and go get it as soon as possible! Like...now!! Seriously, even if you aren't into vampires, it is an amazing book and it will definitely make you want to come back for more (speaking of which, the sequel, NEW MOON, is also just as amazing!)

Molly
Cathy's Book by Sean Stewart and Jordan Weisan
Rating: 4 Stars
I really liked this. it was a great adventure/murder mystery! I loved how there were doodles and all kinds of stuff in the book. It really made it seem like you were reading her journal. The interactive evidence and phone numbers to call were such a cool touch. I got this book for christmas and finished it on Boxing Day. I've reread it and decided I had to suggest it to everyone! I think you should all read this if you're looking for something gripping to read!! You'll be on the edge of your seat for the whole thing!!!!!

Sarah
