Desdemona
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Rating: 5 Stars
I have alway been fascinated by stories that take place during World War II. Told by the point of view of Death, THE BOOK THIEF follows Liesel Meminger on her journey through life with her new foster family and the Jew they are hiding in the basement. Brilliant prose, believable dialogue, and a story that gets in your head and won't let go, THE BOOK THIEF is a great book you just can't put down.

Desdemona
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Rating: 4 Stars
There are very few books that have made me cry. This is one of the few. Jodi Picoult has a way of manipulating your senses. She makes you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. The story is so believable and the characters so easy to get into. This is a great book, just make sure you have some Kleenex. It's a real tear jerker.

Desdemona
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Rating: 5 Stars
SPEAK is one of the most moving books I have read. It shows teenage life better than I have ever seen in a book before. It shows, not only the story of a girl going through a hard time in her life because of events at a party, but the affect other people have on her. It shows that sometimes, the only way to get over something is to speak up and face it. I highly recommend this. :)

Erica
One Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Rating: 5 Stars
I think everyone should read this book. It's unbelievable what goes on in other countries with people just like us that we don't know about. It was a real eye opener.

Babs
The Insiders by J. Minter
Rating: 5 Stars
The first in a long series, it is really good about typically teen problems, well typically if you are rich...which I am not.

Lisa
The Face on the Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a great book and I enjoyed reading it. It's about this girl, Janie, who finds her picture on a missing ad on a milk carton. She is determined to find the truth.

Babs
A Chalice of Wind by Cate Tiernan
Rating: 5 Stars
Cate has amazed me one again. After reading her Sweep series, I had to try this book and she does not disappoint. If you liked Sweep, then you are sure to love this.

Babs
Extras by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 5 Stars
This is Westerfeld's fourth book in a trilogy, ha. It's not the best one (UGLIES was the best ), but it was really good. It could be read without having read the other ones in the series.

Babs
Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard
Rating: 5 Stars
This shows you how the popular girls really are. It leaves you wondering.

Babs
Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
Rating: 5 Stars
I though it would be a boring love story but it turned out to be a pretty good read.

Babs
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn
Rating: 5 Stars
A short read. At times, it was boring and it seemed like a long read, though I finished in a day. Not to much plot but I like how it was told by two sides, but it was also predictable. Recommended.

Babs
The Twilight series by Stephenie
Rating: 5 Stars
I was not going to read these books because everyone else was, but I got TWILIGHT for Christmas, so I decided to read it. It is a great series about Bella, vampires, and werewolves. Although the book is about Bella, it really should be about Edward, the character most have fallen in love with. We all are looking for an Edward --- someone to protect us and love us.

Alah E
Story of a Girl by Sara Zarr
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book! It was awesome and so sad!

Baba
Gluttony by Robin Wasserman
Rating: 5 Stars
The sixth in the seven deadly sins. I was unable to put in down. It deals with all kinds or school and friendship drama.

Nessa
Ana's Story by Jenna Bush
Rating: 5 Stars
An exciting true story. This book tells the life of Ana, a young girl living with HIV.

Nessa
The Mayor Of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy
Rating: 5 Stars
An Interesting book with many twists and turns. High school level.

Book Worm
Amazing Grace by Megan Shull
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book. It is obviously the best book I have ever read. I like it how a famous person can turn out to be a regular teen in a matter of a few days. I would recommended this book to anyone who loves a good book that sometimes has sad parts. Definitely read it.

Alexandra
Poison by Chris Wooding
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the book to read if you are a fantasy lover. This phaerie tale is an exciting story of adventure for a girl who sets off in search of her stolen baby sister. It tells of how a determined 16 year old will go through anything to save her sister from the evil Phaerie Lord, even in a realm she has never been in before. Full of action, jaw-dropping moments, love, mystery and many emotions there aren't even words for, POISON will change the way you think about life and leave you wanting more.

Ravneet
Honey, Baby, Sweetheart by Deb Caletti
Rating: 5 Stars
This book rocked. It's about this girl named Ruby who gets involved with this boy named Travis who's family is really rich, and in the small town that Ruby lives in, Travis' family are considered to be "celebrities." So Ruby starts hanging out with Travis and slacking off on her responsibilities to be with him. Then Travis does something horrible and it makes Ruby consider her options. She starts wondering if hanging out with Travis is worth it. Meanwhile, her mom gets her involved in a book club and Ruby gets deeply involved in the story that they are reading. An exciting twist in this book makes Ruby come to her senses and makes the right choice.

Cheyenne
All's Fair in Love, War, and High School by Janette Rallison
Rating: 5 Stars
People have the wrong impression about cheerleaders --- they think if you bat your lashes you end up with guys like Brad Pitt....there's more to it than that!

Allie
The Principles of Love by Emily Franklin
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was awesome! I couldn't put it down! It's about this girl who attends prep school her sophomore year. If dealing with a huge load of homework every night wasn't enough, she's also the the new dean's daughter. Follow Love (and yes that is her name) as she has a sophomore year filled with drama, romance, and confusion. This book is hilarious and very entertaining with many funny movie and music references. It's easy to relate to the character and I could not put it down. This book was really awesome!

Kirstie
Ingo by Helen Dunmore
Rating: 5 Stars
I seriously cannot recommend anything better. In the way she describes the scenery and character, it's like you're in INGO yourself, and the whole plots tie really well together. The characters seem so real, almost life like! It's a really good book and I would defiantly recommend it to anyone and especially for people who love adventures!

Elise
A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket
Rating: 2 Stars
I really did not like these books. They were childlike and predictable. A few parts were funny, but it really wasn't my taste.

Elise
Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a great continuation to A GREAT AND TERRIBLE BEAUTY. There wasn't much romance, if you're into that stuff, but it was very descriptive with a lot of twists.

Elise
Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
Great book, but too much one on one with Jacob Black for my taste.

Elise
Timeline by Michael Crichton
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a pretty sweet book. It was all about these archaeologists going back to the Medieval times. It was pretty awesome, but a few parts dragged on a bit (I just skipped over them). Overall, it was a superb story with a great ending. Read it.

Tall_Girl
Green Rider by Kristen Britain
Rating: 5 Stars
This book may look weird, but it's actually a really good fantasy! The third book just came out a while ago, and I can't wait for the next!

Elise
The Foretelling by Alice Hoffman
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was about a tribal girl whose birth was caused by a rape. It is a very emotional book! I loved it, it had great descriptions, and it was a short read. Good all around.

Covea
Pretties by Scott Westerfield
Rating: 3 Stars
Not as good as UGLIES. I found myself putting this book down numerous of times. I love Tally but the story sort of dragged on. It made me not even want to buy SPECIALS.

Covea
Blood and Chocolate by Anette Krause
Rating: 5 Stars
In my search for a book similar to TWILIGHT, I bought this book and loved it. I wish there was a sequel. It's definItely a book worth picking up and reading!

Covea
Being Dead by Vivian Vande Velde
Rating: 3 Stars
If you're into ghost stories, this book is for you. Some of the stories really made me wish I could read an entire story about it. I loved the first one especially. It'll definitely have you believing in ghosts.

Morgan

Stephanie
Honey, Baby, Sweetheart by Deb Caletti
Rating: 4 Stars
HONEY, BABY, SWEETHEART is a very interesting book that most romance fans could get into. With its intense characters and great storyline, it has made it into my top 30 books.

Heather
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory
Rating: 5 Stars
Read it before the movie comes out! It's really good! If you have siblings and you understand sibling rivalry, then this book will definitely get to you. It's very strong, with great storytelling, and very good imagery.

Agnes
Beka Cooper by Tamora Pierce
Rating: 5 Stars
it is an exciting adventure of George Cooper's relative. A great book for any Tamora Pierce fan, full of adventure and magic.

Heather
Rainbow Boys by Alex Sanchez
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this series! It puts you in the minds of three homosexual teens in their senior year of high school and it helps you understand their problems and what they have to face regularly. It's also very stimulating.

Sammacmic
Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the best book ever. I still can't get over the ending, it is so cool. And this is all over one mere girl. Why couldn't I be Bella, I want Edward!

Stephanie
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
In this follow up of TWILIGHT, Bella Swan is put to her greatest test when Edward Cullen decides it's best for her safety to leave her. Bella falls apart but she befriends a native kid named Jacob Black. He becomes her best friend, and piece by piece, tries to put her back together.

Stephanie
Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This is one of the best books that anyone of all ages can enjoy. Stephenie Meyer has created yet another award-winning novel that follows its just-as-great predecessors. The story of Bella and Edward continues with a clan of newborn vampires set out to destroy Bella, but in the end, the vampires led by the vicious Victoria are no match for the Cullens and an angry pack of young werewolves. That's not the only thing Bella has to endure --- her friendship with Jacob is tested when she realizes the she is in love with him and she has to make a decision that could possible hurt him.

Sammacmic
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
All I can say is Edward Cullen!! This is the best book I have ever read. Did you know he is a vampire and extremely hot!

Covea
Dangerous Girls by R. L. Stine
Rating: 2 Stars
I found this book very blah. The Vampire who sired the two sisters was very obsessed and boring. The plot stunk. I wish I could get back my three hours of reading I wasted on this book.

Covea
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Rating: 5 Stars
I Loved this book. It's a compelling story that you definitely have to read.

Covea
Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber
Rating: 4 Stars
I was looking for A book similar to TWILIGHT and stumbled upon this. It was very good, I loved it. I couldn't put it down and I have rushed out to by the sequel.

mistiquexxdoll
Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This is by far one of the best books I have read so far. After reading Harry Potter I didn't think anything could beat that. But ECLIPSE, the third book in the Twilight series, was truly amazing, and has now topped my list. The book was compelling, full of suspense, and had a bit of everything. Starting from love to life, to death, the book covered almost every topic you could think of. It was such a great book. I highly recommend everyone to read this series.

Ravneet
Lucas by Kevin Brooks
Rating: 5 Stars
This was a great book! It was really interesting and the author really helped you to feel the emotions of the characters.

Ravneet
Hit and Run by Lurlene McDaniel
Rating: 2 Stars
This was definitely not Lurlene's best book. I have read a couple of her others and they were great! In this book, the author could have added a lot more detail and made the ending a bit better. It is about 4 teenagers who get involved in a hit-and-run accident and when they don't tell the police the truth, 2 of them get sucked into a vortex of shame and guilt.

Liz
You, Maybe: The Asymmetry of Love in High School by Rachel Vail
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a great romance book. It's about this girl who ends up falling for the "hottest" guy at school. I loved it, but the ending was sad and not what you would expect in this book.

Elise
The Keep by Jennifer Egan
Rating: 5 Stars
Jennifer Egan is a great writer. This story is pretty fascinating, but what makes it come alive is how well she describes the characters and the scene. The words come alive on the page. It's a great mystery (not a Sherlock Holmes mystery) filled with suspense and a great twist at the end. There is one really weird part in the middle of the book where the guy goes into this tower with an old lady, but...other than that, it was wicked.

Emily
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
I couldn't put the book down and it is one of the best I've ever read!

Stephanie
Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
Rating: 5 Stars
A great follow up to A GREAT AND TERRIBLE BEAUTY. The story of Gemma is still unfolding with her friends and the realms she leads another great adventure into unknown dangers and hopefully love with the ever-so-mysterious boy of the Rakashan.

Stephanie
The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima
Rating: 5 Stars
This book will captivate those who enjoy good fiction fantasies. It's about a boy who is part of an ancient society he never knew existed until he stopped taking his medication one day and realized the abilities he had all along. With the warriors getting scarce for the fights, everyone jumps at the chance to steal him.

Elise
The Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini
Rating: 3 Stars
These books were great for any fantasy reader. The only problem I had with them was how close they were to The Lord of The Rings. I mean Aragon and Eragon...come on. Besides that point, it was fun to read these books. There was great adventure and good descriptions.

Annie
Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
Amazing book that I recommend to everyone who enjoys reading.

Fania
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This is really and truly and an amazing book! It will keep you reading. Once you get past the first few chapters, you won't be able to put it down. This is the only book that involves romance, vampires, werewolves, and Edward Cullen.

Fania
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the sequel to TWILIGHT. Like the first, it is truly amazing. You won't be able to put it down --- there are some really sad and happy parts that make you want to cry and jump with happiness!

Bethany
The Fellowship of the Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien
Rating: 5 Stars
I haven't even read that far, and I'm already falling in love with it! I can't help but wonder how I haven't read it before! It is full of suspense for you never know when they'll get captured or die or whatever could possibly happen to the hobbits!

Ellen L.
Autobiography of a Face by Lucy Grealy
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is amazing. It is a bit depressing and very detailed in its descriptions of the procedures the cancer patient goes through, but the writing is outstanding, and every sentence will make you say wow. Definitely worth reading, even if you think you won't be able to handle it.

Allie
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling
Rating: 5 Stars
What a tragic way to end a series. I did like the "19 Years Later" chapter. How cute. J. K. Rowling is an amazing writer. I would recommend reading all of the books in the series also.

Fania
Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the third book out so far. It is riveting and exciting. This series has the edge of fear, with romance. Edward's charm works on anyone who reads this book, not only on Bella!

Spring
The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare
Rating: 5 Stars
This was a really good book! It told about a girl who had to fit in in a different place. I loved it!

Liz
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a pretty awesome book. I loved the fact that the author talks about Susie being in Heaven and watching her family. This book is kinda sad, but overall, it's a good read. But, I wouldn't recommend it to people under 14 --- it has some topics that are not for kids.

Spring
Araminta Spookie: My Haunted House by Angie Sage
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is meant for kids aged 7-10, but I read it at 12. It is a really easy read, but it was still good. I read it in about an hour or less.

Em
The Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine
Rating: 5 Stars
It is a vampire book, just so you know. It is also the third in the series. Very good. This book has lots of action, romance, and, well...vampires.

Em
The Dead Girls' Dance by Rachel Caine
Rating: 5 Stars
This book about vampires is very good. It's the second in the series, and I loved it, obviously. Lots of romance, action and Gothic fantasy sort of stuff.

Spring
Does My Head Look Big in This? by Randa Abdel-Fattah
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book! It told the story of a girl named Amal who decides to wear a hijab. She struggles with normal teenage problems and then some because of the hijab. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for a good story.

Mayumi
Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
Rating: 5 Stars
The descriptions at first may seem long, but this book is unlike any I've ever read. REBECCA is a mystery romance novel that's so beautiful and surprising...

Mayumi
Story Time by Edward Bloor
Rating: 5 Stars
The theme is so bizarre that you feel put out at first, but the story is so well written and the plot gets so interesting!

Ravneet
Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This was awesome! I think the books in the Twilight series just keep getting better and better!

Ravneet
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is a definite must read! It's about a girl named Annabel who has been rejected by her friends because of a hideous rumor that her best friend spread about her. Then she meets Owen, a guy who is all about honesty and is obsessed with music. This book shows teens how people's lives can be ruined by rumors.

Ravneet
Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
Rating: 5 Stars
I really liked this book! It's about a girl named Vivian who is a werewolf. She falls in love with a human boy named Aiden, despite the objections of her pack members. This book was really interesting and it had a terrific ending.

Ravneet
The Luxe by Anna Godbersen
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was awesome! It's like the Gossip Girl books, except it is based in Manhattan in the 1900s. It is about 5 teenagers who are caught up in the midst of a really confusing love triangle, despite their parents' wishes. I absolutely adored the historically accurate details that the author chose to include. It really helped me feel the characters' emotions.

Helen
Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was absolutely incredible. It gets a little slow towards the middle, but the ending is surprising. Even when I finished the book there were so many mysteries left unsolved.

Mayumi
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
Rating: 4 Stars
The story is so long. The plot really drags in the first half and only gets interesting from about page 200, but the language is so great that every book you read afterwards seems kind of empty in words.

Elise
The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
Rating: 5 Stars
These were awesome books. Don't think you'd be a geek to read them, because you will be blown away. I'd suggest the movies also, but these are better. The reading is a little more challenging than other teen books, but I read them in sixth grade, so I think most people could get through them.

Spring
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Rating: 3 Stars
FRANKENSTEIN is famous for being a scary story. I thought this book was very sad. I'm not saying it wasn't scary, because it was scary in some parts, but it was a very, very sad book. Characters die, feelings are hurt, and you feel very sorry for some characters. I actually cried a little after I finished it!

Elise
Children of the Lamp by P. B. Kerr
Rating: 3 Stars
This was an ok book; a little childish if I do say so myself, but it was meant more for kids. Good story, though. Magic is always fun.

Spring
The Sammy Keyes books by Wendelin Van Draanen
Rating: 5 Stars
Sammy Keyes is a easily liked character. She's funny, smart and curious. I love her books so much!

Kayleen
The Black Tattoo by Sam Enthoven
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is really good and different. There are the bad people (demons) and there are the good people (the brotherhood), and as usual, they fight each other. If you like Herbie Brennan's FAERIE WARS, you will love this book. It's a fun read. It isn't a novel, but has three books in one. It's really hard to put down, but that's good, in my opinion.

Morgan
Zen and the Art of Faking It by Jordan Sonnenblick
Rating: 4 Stars
San is a Chinese 8th grader adopted by Americans. He's tried fitting in, but it never works. He is the only minority in the whole school and his dad is in prison. San pretends to be a Zen Buddhist and suddenly becomes really popular, but everything good can't last forever.

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Rating: 5 Stars
This has to be the most powerful and deeply moving book I have ever read. A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS is a heartbreaking yet compelling story of bad circumstances, an unlikely friendship, and an unbreakable love. I recommend this book to anyone who is not afraid to feel.

Rissa.
What Happened to Cass McBride? by Gail Giles
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is really good. It's short and has a kick-off beginning. The minute you start reading it, you won't want to put it down. It keeps you interested the whole way through, and the ending is really intriguing.

Lydia
Enders Game by Orson Scott Card
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is amazing! It's one of those books that makes you change the way you think about life for...well...the rest of your life! The book is centered around a kid (age 6) named Andrew Wiggins. He is sent to an elite military school to fight buggers, an alien race that has attacked twice before. The government, in order to protect earth, mounts a counter attack. I was so incredibly shocked at the ending, I had to re-read it to make sure I got what just happened! I was skeptical when I first heard about it, but when I finally sat down and read it, I was beyond shocked! After reading this book, I can say that I have read the best science fiction has to offer! Orson Scott Card's books continue to amaze me, even past ENDER'S GAME.

Sara
Marked by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast
Rating: 3 Stars
It's fast paced, pretty funny and it doesn?t drag on, so it was pretty good. But, I didn?t think it was so vampire-like and sometimes it just went a little too quickly or skipped parts that I would have probably found interesting.

Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale by Holly Black
Rating: 5 Stars
This is one of my all-time favorite books. The characters are all unique and mysterious in their own way, which makes you not want to put the book down because you just have to know what happens next. Holly Black has truly written what I would consider a masterpiece. Trust me when I say that you will love this book.

Peyton
Valiant: A Modern Tale of Faerie by Holly Black
Rating: 5 Stars
This is another one of my favorite books of all time, Especially since it comes right after TITHE, one of my other favorites. This book will grab your attention and have you hooked before the first chapter is even finished. If you love books that are somewhat dark, have a pinch mystery, and a dash of romance, then this is most definitely the book for you.

Peyton
Ready or Not by Meg Cabot
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is about a girl named Samantha Madison, and if you've already read ALL AMERICAN GIRL, then you already know all about her. This book is even better, even though it is a little shorter, because it has even more romance in it than the first one. It's mainly based around one question --- Is Sam ready for her and her boyfriend, David, the President's son, ready to take it to the next level? You'll just have to read the book and find out. I totally recommend this book for people who like a little comedy mixed in with some romance.

Peyton
Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is a great choice for someone who loves adventure, mystery, magic, and romance all piled into one amazing book. I give this book 5 stars because it has the qualities of a great read.

This book most definitely deserves 5 stars. The characters and scenery are described so vividly that I sometimes forget that I'm reading a book and that means I have to turn the page. This is what I would call a must read.

I'd Tell You I Love You... by Ally Carter
Rating: 4 Stars
This page turner held a surprise --- and a surveillance camera --- behind every corner. Carter gives a taste of the spy life as she guides her readers through this school for genuis girls, although the most challenging part comes when Cammie Morgan is approached by the boy of her dreams. Being a "pavement artist," this isn't something Cammie's entirely used to. As she desperately tries to find a place in her life for this boy who can never really know the truth about her, Cammie shows us all that sometimes, the hardest thing about being a spy is keeping up with your legend.

Charlie Bone and the Beast by Jenny Nimmo
Rating: 5 Stars
Another series that I have no idea why I'm so interested. When I first began, I thought it was kind of like a rip off of the Harry Potter series, but the author has put her own spin and created something new in the fantasy world. This particular book is fairly easy to get through but I strongly recommend beginning with Book One.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Rating: 4 Stars
The setting of this fantasy fiction, in 1800s England, is a bit distracting; but this story of a girl who sees visions in the midst of secrecy and magic is good. It is very well written and you can almost hear the howling of the wind and the chill of the air. A good read.

Fly on the Wall by E. Lockhart
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is about a girl who wishes she could be a fly on the wall --- not just any fly on the wall, but one on the wall of the boys locker room of her school. This book was funny and has a heartwarming ending that at least I like. I really hope you read this. Another book by this author that I like is THE BOYFRIEND LIST.

What can I say, the Harry Potter seires are the best books ever. If you haven't read one by now, you must be clinically insane. Go on, pick it up, and read it. Trust me, no one is dissapointed by Harry, even if he doesn't have a very good name.

Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a really touching book. I read it when I was in fourth grade and obsessed with dogs, but I found out this book had a greater meaning than any old dog book. The characters seem real, and it's hard to break away from them, but the ending is good.

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
Rating: 5 Stars
INKHEART by Cornelia Funke has been my favourite book for years. Six, to be exact. I remember reading it in grade seven and loving it as much as I do now. Recently, I have been re-reading the novel and realized something. WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT IT! Yes, I have read TWILIGHT, NEW MOON and ECLIPSE and I love all three of them, buuuuuut --- and dare I say it --- there is something better. INKHEART is an amazing novel and I'd give it more than five stars if I could.

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
Rating: 5 Stars
REDEEMING LOVE is one of the best romance novels I've read this year! Set in the time of the 1850s California gold rush, this book is about a simple Christian farmer who has been waiting and praying for a wife for a long time. He sees a woman walking through the town, and falls in love with her at first sight, only later to find out that she is the town's most lusted-after prostitute. But still, he is determined to marry this woman. She, on the other hand, is determined not to have anything to do with him. This book will keep you up til the wee hours of the morning, just waiting to find out what happens next!

Alright, so I have to say this book is for the open minded, it was such a great book! I could not put it down! It is about a cursed knight from the 12th century and his crush on an American archeologist and how she tries to free him from the curse. It is a great romance but also doubles as a riveting mystery. I hope at least one of you who reads this will try this book! (And if you like it, another great book like this I can recommend is INTO THIN AIR also by Cindy Miles).

Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin
Rating: 4 Stars
This book really freaked me out. It was about this teenage girl who died after getting hit by a car, and she woke up on a boat to the afterlife. What was really scary was how similar she was to me. It was a very touching book, with a new look at the afterlife. Although I don't agree how the author depicted what happens after death, it was very intense and heart-wrenching. At the end of the book I was crying, because it made me feel happy and sad at the same time. I suggest reading it, it was terrific.

A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb
Rating: 4 Stars
I liked this book. It was pretty good and kept my attention. It is not very long, but it didn't need to be. It had a great ending and a great story. I wouldn't recommend it for younger teenagers because there is one scene that is very adult, but I thought it was awesome.

Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin
Rating: 2 Stars
This book was ok. It was kind of bland for me. Not much really went on. It was cute, but nothing really special. If you're into girly teenage love kind of books, it would be great. This author is great, especially with the book ELSEWHERE, but this one did not live up to my expectations.

I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak
Rating: 5 Stars
After reading THE BOOK THIEF and loving it, I decided to read more of Markus Zusak's books, and I wasn't disapointed. This book is about Ed Kennedy, an ordinary 19-year-old cab driver who just happens to thwart a bank robbery one day. After that, he receives old playing cards in the mail with addresses, names, or other clues left on them. He has to change that person's life, and finds out many things along the way, but he also makes new friends.

It Had To Be You by Cecily Von Ziegezar
Rating: 4 Stars
This prequel to the Gossip Girl series is definitely a great read and a great ending to the stories of our favorite characters' Serena, Blair and Nate. The book definitely gave more focus to those three and a little bit on Jenny's growing you know what. It was cool that the author made this book so that we can know what happened before EVERYTHING happened, but there's still one mystery that remains, and we can only keep guessing. Who is GG??

House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer
Rating: 4 Stars
Although this book was published in 2002, it is one of the best books out there that has recently been published. It is about a boy named Matt and how he figures out that he is a clone. If you like science fiction or mystery, this is the book you want to read. It combines both elements very nicely. Although, I do not suggest reading it right before bed.

Nothing But the Truth (and a Few White Lies) by Justina Chen Headley
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a really good book and was really sensitive and yet also blunt about many serious subjects. There were a few flaws such as stereotyping (although that was the point of the book) and several instances that were slightly cliched. But overall it was a really good book and definitely worth reading.

This an amazing book (my second time reading it) about a girl named Esther who starts to go mental. The author gets you so wrapped up into the story and into Esther's mind that you feel like you may be going crazy as well. Her thoughts make sense, even though in the back of your mind it can't be right. I would definitely recommend this to anybody (especially girls).

Atonement by Ian McEwan
Rating: 4 Stars
This was a really good story that was purely romantic, but really tragic at the same time, so that you can almost feel the emotions of each character. Basically, a young woman's little sister gets caught away in her imagination and accuses her older sister's good-hearted lover of a crime he didn't commit. He is sent to prison for a long time and then has to join the war (it's set in the 1930's), so he and his love are separated and the younger sister feels guilt all throughout her life. The ending is really different!

Bass Ackwards and Belly Up by Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain
Rating: 5 Stars
This is one of my many favorite books! BASS ACKWARDS AND BELLY UP is like THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS, but the charaters just finished high school, like in the 4th Sisterhood book. Tere are four girls: Sophie, Kate, Harper, and Becca. After Harper gets rejected from NYU she decides to follow her dream to write America's next great novel. Following her example, Kate turns down Harvard and goes backpacking across Europe to discover herself. Sophie goes to LA to become an actress, and Becca goes to college and pursues her dream to fall in love. This is an amazingly awesome book. you all should definitely read it...except the boys might not want to because it has some girl stuff in it.

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this book. This book takes place in the future, where an old man clones himself, so he can use the clone for organs. The plot was very complex. The ideas were original, and the characters felt so real. I like that it's a bit more diverse. No blondies and girls who complain they're too skinny, it actually portrayed Mexican characters without giving us stereotypes. This was a really good book, and it made me think a
