Jennifer
Pirates! by Celia Rees
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book. It was very adventurous.

Ellen
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Rating: 4 Stars
A good book that is very well written. However, it can be a tad frustrating and depressing, but genuinely well worth it!

Sadie
Pirates! by Celia Rees
Rating: 4 Stars
A really good book that doesn't overpower you with the fact that it takes place long ago, instead giving you subtle hints.

gaby
Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book. It is very addicting. You'll want to read it over and over again. I've read it 7 times already. It's pretty weird --- it's about vampires and werewolves falling in love. If life were like that. And I totally fell in love with Jacob and his personality!

Rory
It's Not Easy Being Mean by Lisi Harrison
Rating: 4 Stars
In the 7th Clique book, the pretty committee tries to find the key to a secret room in OCD that will make them the 8th- grade alphas. I think it's another great book in the series.

Ellen L.
Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin
Rating: 4 Stars
This is about a girl who has amnesia, and she has to figure out who she is. It's very entertaining, and very funny, with many plot twists! It's easy to get into, and keeps your attention the whole way through.

Rory
TTYL by Lauren Myracle
Rating: 5 Stars
If you don't like to read, this is the book for you because it is written entirely in instant messages. It's great for readers too, because even though it does not seem like it has a real story, it does and it rocks!

Rory
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
One of the best books i have ever read, and I have read a lot of books. lol =)
If you haven't already read this great book, read it now!

It's about a girl, Bella, who moves to live with her dad Charlie, and falls in love with a vampire, Edward. It's all about their crazy relationship. There are two sequels, NEW MOON and ECLIPSE.

Witten
Avalon High by Meg Cabot
Rating: 5 Stars
if you like romance/action, then this is the book for you. Ellie moves to a new town and starts a new school. After a few weeks, she is already seeing that Avalon high is like King Arthur's story. When her fantasy starts becoming true, can she save the school? Find out.

Katie
Z is for Zachariah by Robert C. O'Brien
Rating: 3 Stars
An interesting book about a girl who is the only living thing for miles around after a nuclear bomb is dropped nearby. It provided an interesting perspective, but was a little strange.

Katie
Dana's Valley by Janette Oke, Laurel Oke Logan
Rating: 5 Stars
One of my all time favorite books. It's about a teenage girl who has cancer. It's very well written and you will fall in love with the main character. I was sobbing by the end of the book. You really should read it!

Katie
Click Here: To Find Out How I Survived 7th Grade by Denise Vega
Rating: 4 Stars
Fantastic book for any young teen girl. It's filled with drama, and is a tale of friendship and love.

Katie
They Never Came Home by Lois Duncan
Rating: 4 Stars
A great book about an teen who is headed down the wrong path in life. From the cover and title, I was a little hesitant to read this book, but it ended up being fantastic and teaches a great lesson.

Katie
Gracie's Girl by Ellen Wittlinger
Rating: 5 Stars
A great book for middle-school girls. The main character learns a great lesson about helping people.

Emily
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
Rating: 4 Stars
I like the style of writing --- stream of consciousness. It's extremely compelling and sets the book apart.

Pooja
The Girl Who Invented Romance by Caroline B. Cooney
Rating: 3 Stars
Well, it was a nice and a different novel.. Kelly's character will appeal to you, because of the fact that she seems so real and the story is different. At the same time, you really don't understand how she and the boy of her dreams fall in love. But, this is definitely a different novel to read and enjoy.

Pooja
Graduation Summer: Book 2 by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
Rating: 3 Stars
Well this isn't as good as the 1st book in the series; yet, some important decisions are made, which are sad for a reader like me, but they're important also.

Mary-Kate and Trevor's romance blossoms and survives, in spite of difficulties, yet their separation and Mary-Kate's departure at the 2nd half of the book made me give 3 stars rather then 4.

Jared
Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo
Rating: 4 Stars
Charlie Bone has all the fun of Harry Potter without the frequent deaths and overall dreary output. All in all, a very good book.

Ellen
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
Rating: 4 Stars
A bit slow in the beginning, but if you stick with it, it will really pay off.

Kat Z.
Anne's House of Dreams by Lucy Maud Montgomery
Rating: 4 Stars
Canadian classic! I love these books; they give such a great picture of life in the early 1900s, plus the characters are great. They're light reads, but with enough substance to keep me from zipping through the books at super speed.

purplechick
Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass
Rating: 5 Stars
I've only read about the first half of this book but I'm already hooked.

Purplechick
Summer of My German Soldier by Bette Greene
Rating: 4 Stars
The beginning is REALLY slow, but after that it became really engrossing.

Haley
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Steven Chbosky
Rating: 5 Stars
Quirky --- a perfect blend of heart-breaking and hilarious.

Haley
Old Magic by Marianne Curley
Rating: 5 Stars
I haven't found a book this good in a while. With supernatural elements, romance, and an amazing plot I literally could not put it down.

Mary B
The Murder of Bindy Mackenzie by Jaclyn Moriarty
Rating: 5 Stars
I greatly enjoyed the book. Its one of my favorites now. Its the longest book I've read so far, but I loved it. It didn't take me long to get into the story. Once I got in the middle and close to the end, I could not put it down. I just kept on reading til the end. The book kept me guessing and trying to figure out what really happened.

Jennifer
Story Time by Edward Bloor
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is so awesome! If you're into books about strange, haunted schools and even stranger teachers, this is definitely the book for you.

Ivana
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
Rating: 5 Stars
I cannot get enough of this book! The play of literature and music is often overlooked, and honestly, underdone. The authors have the perfect rhythm together as they bring Nick and Norah into an amazing teen tale. It's so good they're making it into a movie with Michael Cera. Doesn't get any better than that.

Book~Adorer
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
Rating: 5 Stars
Extremely enthralling book! Such an adventure, it definitely pulls you in for a ride.

Alexis
The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver
Rating: 5 Stars
THE BEAN TREES is about a girl named Taylor who leaves Kentucky for a more adventurous life. She eventually settles down in Arizona, but on the way, she inherits a three-year-old Indian girl. Taylor must learn how to care for this girl, and she also meets many friends. The story is very realistic and well written.

Marissa
Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
Rating: 2 Stars
I'm not even a quarter of the way into this book and it already seems to drag. Marr's characters aren't very defined and the plot is lacking interest. I'm regretting having bought this book.

Marissa
The Host by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
Although the storyline makes the book sound less appealing, this book was fantastic! Whether you are a fan of Stephenie Meyer or not, you should read this book. I couldn't put it down after I started.

Jessica
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
Rating: 4 Stars
I haven't quite finished, but so far it's really good. You really empathize with the character. It's a really good read; the beginning Is a bit hard to get into, but a few chapters in and it's really a good book.

Sarah
Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is about a girl named Stargirl who goes to Mica High School and changes the way things flow there forever. Five stars!

readerbybirth
Deep End of Fear by Elizabeth Chandler
Rating: 5 Stars
It was an excellent book! A nice mixture of various genres such as supernatural, mystery, thriller, and romance.

Anita
Burned by Ellen Hopkins
Rating: 4 Stars
I really like this book, but the ending didn't make me so happy. It is written beautifully, but it is troubling.

Jessie
The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton
Rating: 5 Stars
Omg... it was so good! It's about these two gangs in the 1950s --- the greasers and the socs --- who have all these gang fights. It was really good; you need to read this book!!

Kelley-Lynn
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is unbelievable! You'll be thinking the whole way through it. This book questions ethical issues... is it wrong to have a child to save the life of your other child?

Bails
The Compound by S. A. Bodeen
Rating: 5 Stars
I read it in one sitting, and couldn't put it down.

Stace
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
The best story I have ever read. (Other than Harry Potter). It is for readers everywhere, even if you do not like vampire stories.

Emily
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars
Reading this for the 5th time. I can't get over how good it is. It draws me in every time. :)

CRaab
Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 4 Stars
I really liked this book, although it is not as happy as many of Dessen's other books.

Mirabelle
Neptune Noir by Rob Thomas
Rating: 5 Stars
I love "Veronica Mars" and I love this book. It is very interesting and lets you know what Rob Thomas thinks of his awesome show.

Marsha
Homeboyz by Alan Lawrence Sitomer
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was a tear jerker. The plot seemed real and drew me into the character's world.

Hanna
Blue Bloods by Mellisa de la Cruz
Rating: 5 Stars
This is as exciting as the Twilight series, but has a little Gossip Girl. The sequel is also equally as great.

Hannah
Blonde Ambition by Zoey Dean
Rating: 4 Stars
This is a great book for insight into how un-glamorous glamor can be.

WritersBlockReviews
Chasing Windmills by Catherine Ryan Hyde
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is fab! I couldn't put it down. The subject matter is great and is something different. Everyone should read this book!!

Jess
The Patron Saint of Butterflies by Cecilia Galante
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is not only very timely with everything going on in the news right now with commune living; but also, the relationship between Agnes and Honey was just gripping.

Joan
Painting Caitlyn by Kimberly Joy Peters
Rating: 5 Stars
PAINTING CAITLYN is the best book ever! At first, I didn't think I would like it. But I loved it toward the end. If you want to read a really good book, you should read this.

Amanda
A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
Rating: 5 Stars
Although this is hard to understand in the form I am reading it, an older version of English, it is amazing! It is full of fantasy, love, spells, fairies, comic relief, and a guy's head becomes a donkey head! I definitely think everyone should read this book!

Amanda
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Book Three by Rick Riordan
Rating: 4 Stars
If you love mythology and fantasy (and love), try this. Apollo is pretty funny, too.

Rach-2011
Wake by Lisa Mcmann
Rating: 5 Stars
Not all dreams are sweet.

For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.

She can't tell anybody about what she does --- they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can't control.

Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more then a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant.

I loved this book, but the sequel, FADE, doesn't come out until February 2009 *sob *sob*. But its a really good book. Of course, it's not as good as TWILIGHT (nothing is). Twi-hards unite!! Just kidding.

Jordan
Faerie Lord by Herbie Brennan
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the last book in a really good fantasy series called The Faerie Wars Chronicles. I repeat, really good!

Jordan
Maximum Ride: The Final Warning by James Patterson
Rating: 5 Stars
I am posting this simply to warn everyone who is reading all these other posts about how great this series is. My warning is simple:

Do not read this book!

Feel free to read the first three. Book 1 is great, book 2 is almost as good, book 3 isn't as good, but it's still worthwhile, and Book 4 is absolutely terrible! It's absurdly short, there are more loose ends to the plotline than there were in the Gordian Knot after Alexander the Great got to it, and the majority of the novel is a not-at-all-subtle message about global warming. Don't get me wrong, I believe that global warming is a problem, but this is not the way people should be told about it. Were it not for a handful of almost-sorta-kinda-maybe relevant developments, I would say that this is not part of the series at all, just a supplement or some such thing. It doesn't even deserve one star. It gets half a star. A third of a star. Three-tenths. I would even go so far as to say that it was a waste of a day of my life, but I was on vacation (a really boring vacation) when I read it, so that day would have been wasted anyway. Also, for those of you who are like me and like things to match, it doesn't look at all like the other books in the series and therefore defeats the aesthetic point of owning every book in a series. I say again:

Do not read this book!
Rant over.

Debbie
Discover the Power Within You by Eric Butterworth
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is about becoming conscious in your life through meditation.

Eric
Jumper by Steven Gould
Rating: 4 Stars
Good book.

Shannon
Bag of Bones by Stephen King
Rating: 4 Stars
Well I am still in the middle of reading this, but so far it's extremely interesting. The book is about an author who lost his wife suddenly and is now facing writer's block and a constant recurring dream that is haunting him.

The Book Muncher
Reincarnation by Suzanne Weyn
Rating: 4 Stars
This book had a lot of potential, but could've been written better.

The Book Muncher
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Rating: 5 Stars
Everyone should read this, no kidding.

Diane
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Rating: 5 Stars
This book does a good job of recreating the state of mind of a teen on the edge, and bringing to light the fact that you never know how what you say or don't say affects someone. I like that the book has a male main character, which widens its reading appeal, and manages to sympathetically present the situation without glorifying suicide.

Jessica
S.T.O.R.M.: The Infinity Code by E. L. Young
Rating: 4 Stars
A quick-paced adventure. I like the gadgetry and the eccentric characters.

Joseph
The Game of my Life by Jason McElwain
Rating: 5 Stars
I read this book because it related to my disability. I think that anyone will love to read it.

Jaclyn
I Am Legend by Richard Matheson
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was really thrilling and the whole thing was definitely creepy and exciting. Richard Matheson kept me hanging on every word. I never knew what was coming next and each twist and turn came totally unexpectedly. I only wish it was longer though.

Anais S.
The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars
A great book about a girl, Macy, finding herself over the summer.

Jessica
Three Little Words by Ashley Rhodes-Courter
Rating: 5 Stars
This story is a memoir, meaning it really happened. It takes you through Ashley's travels from foster home to foster home. It also shows you that three little words could change your life.

This book is a must read that will keep you entertained.

Ms. Yingling
Prom Kings and Drama Kings by Dorian Cirrone
Rating: 4 Stars
This is a worthy and noble "Pink" read. Sure, it has the pink cover, but espouses a better message. As Emily's mother said, "Do something that will make people cheer for you," and while Emily hasn't figured out yet what this is, she is trying.

Chelsea
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde
Rating: 5 Stars
Finally! A completely original storyline! I've read dozens of books I couldn't put down, but this was the most captivating story I believe I've ever read. I'm not going to tell you what it's about, though; you'll have to read it yourself to find out!

Lindsay
Belong to Me by Marisa de los Santos
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is a fantastic exploration of relationship and perspective. It tells the story of Cornelia and Teo, two characters introduced in LOVE WALKED IN, as they move into a suburban neighborhood and form deeper bonds with their neighbors and with each other. The characters are well developed, and the language is exquisite. I'd unreservedly recommend BELONG TO ME to any reader, but especially to young women.

Jeanne
PrettyTough by Liz Tigelaar
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is awesome. It is about a girl with no friends who hates her sister. When the soccer coach asks her to play, she decides to --- only to annoy her sister --- who is a star. She learns how to be a teammate, friend and sister. It's great.

Meg
Grendel by John Gardner
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is fascinating. It offers the tale of BEOWULF from the viewpoint of Grendel, the demon in the story. It can be hard to follow, but it's a beautiful book.

Kayla
Fell by David Clement-Davies
Rating: 4 Stars
This is the second book in a riveting series told through the point of view of wolves. These books mix horror, supernatural powers, a little romance, and the daily struggle of staying alive in a nasty world. It was ironic that i found myself stepping into the story and living with the wolves --- I never thought a story told by animals could seem so normal and real. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves reading.

Aliyah
Wake by Lisa McMann
Rating: 2 Stars
I had heard good things about this book, so I was excited to receive it as an ARC from the publisher. However, this book was a big disappointment. The plot was very choppy and the characters were not well developed at all, so it was hard to follow the story. In addition, some sections of the book were very fast-paced, while others were too drawn out. I disliked WAKE so much, I was barely able to finish it. I wouldn't recommend this book at all!
