Contrary to popular belief, this book is more than just a story of the "troubles" of rich teens and their love lives. It's about a popular teen girl who has gone missing and everyone believes that she has died. The body hasn't been found and her 4 best friends are left in the dust. But when secrets are being revealed that only Alison, the deceased teen, knew her friends are wondering whether or not she is actually dead! The new book to the series, Unbelievable, will hopefully unmask the teller of secrets and the murderer of Alison.

This is my favourite book of all time, and it's the final addition to the Gemma Doyle Trilogy. (The first two books are A GREAT AND TERRIBLE BEAUTY and REBEL ANGELS.)
This is one of the best trilogies set in around 19th-Century London. Gemma goes to Spence school, where she discovers dark secrets of her mom's past. A thrilling book that you could read over and over again.

New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the second book in the Twilight series, and it is mainly about a human girl who is in love with a vampire, Edward, who leaves her (moves to another state) so her life can be normal. After Edward leaves, she is very depressed; she barely talks to anyone and days just slip by. Four months later, her father tells her to do something with her life, so she then starts hanging out with another boy, who she finds out later is a werewolf.
By the way, Vampires each have special powers.
Edward's sister Alice can see the future depending on others decisions (ie: when someone decides to do something else, their future changes). She sees Bella jump off of a cliff and thinks that she's killed herself, so she then tells Edward, who now wants to die too.
I have two last words to say about this: *Awesome book!
P.S. I advise everyone to read it.

Spin by Robert Charles Wilson
Rating: 5 Stars
Quite possibly the best book I have ever read.
Essentially, one night, a barrier is placed around the earth, blocking out the stars and changing the flow of time. (For every year on earth, 100 million years pass in the rest of the universe.) The characters have life in them, the events are realistic but unexpected, and everything is more on the "science" side of sci-fi, not the "fiction" side, which rarely happens. If you like sci-fi, this is your book.
On a side note, it would be lovely if the people who are just posting things like "This book is awesome" or "I loved this book" would stop. I know you can win a free book, but please, put at least a little effort into it. Tell us why you liked the book.

Freeze Tag by Caroline B. Cooney
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this book. It's scary and romantic at the same time. It is a thriller.
Tag Your Dead... Meghan and West, girl and boy next door, play an innocent game of freeze tag with their neighbor, Lannie. But freeze tag is no ordinary game...not when Lannie is playing. When she tags someone, they really do freeze --- like an ice-blue statue-like death. On that same day, cold, ice-hearted Lannie extracts a horrible promise from handsome West; "You must always like me best...."
Now they are all older and Maghan and West are in love. That one terrifying game of freeze tag has been forgotten...until Lannie reminds West of the promise he was forced to make all those years ago. And if he refuses, she'll freeze Meghan --- to death!
Hope you liked the summary and try to find a library or bookstore that has it so you can read it.

Oh. My. Gods. by Tera Lynn Childs
Rating: 3 Stars
This is an OK story about a track star who just found out gods exist and that her mother just married one. It's sort of a bland, predictable story. I thought the author could have done so much more with it. What made me even give it a three was that her love interest was new and a very witty idea. It's only worth reading for the guy.

It's hard to find a good vamp teen novel that is overly depressing. There is a lot of high expectations for vamp novels since Meyer, but I think this book was worth the read. It's both funny, mixed with a little tragedy, a lot of irony, and cool action. It's worth trying out.

Rating: 5 Stars
This is a great and easy read! I finished it in one day. You will find yourself falling in love with the characters, especially Shug, aka Annemarie. She falls in love with her childhood best friend, Mark, and tries to get him to notice her, but to no avail. Always overshadowed by her older, better-looking sister, Shug doesn't see how beautiful she really is. This book had me rooting for her the entire time without boring me or making me think, "get over it." I literally could not put this book down! Read it! :)

THE BOOK THIEF is about a 9-year-old girl named Liesel, and is set in Nazi Germany. The story is narrated by Death, whose voice is so incredibly descriptive, and everything he says paints an amazing picture in your mind.
This book is 550 pages or so, so it may seem daunting. But I highly encourage even reluctant readers to give it a chance. It is an outstanding book, and one of my favorites.

In the Light of You by Nathan Singer
Rating: 5 Stars
When I first started this book, I was a little unsure of it. It was very intense and disturbing a lot of the times. Normally, neither violence or language in books bother me, but with this book it was different. It was so detailed that it was as if you could see everything the author was describing.
And that's when I realized...if I was bothered by all the violence and anger, then the author was doing his job. The fact that the book affected me emotionally meant that this book was special.
I won't give away the ending, but I do have to say it was absolutely incredible. The ending was perfect for this story. Not everything ended happily (far from it), but it ended the way I felt it should have.
This book stuck with me,and I have found that I absolutely loved it.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 3 Stars
I have to admit I was a little disappointed with this book. Yes,I heard all the rave reviews and the hype about the series, so when I started it, I was confused. This book wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I liked the fantasy part, and I liked that it was original. But other than that, I found it hard to love it. For me, in order to love a book, you have to love the characters in it. And frankly, I didn't. I didn't mind Bella at first, she was just so whiny a lot of the times --- always putting herself down, and wondering why someone would ever want to be with her. Girls have self esteem issues, I get that, but this girl was not helping all the girls out there who can't love themselves.
And then there was Edward...yes we get that he's beautiful and different, but why must we be hit over the head with it time and time again?
All in all,the book was okay, but I would have liked something more substantial from Stephenie.

New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 4 Stars
I didn't love TWILIGHT, but I did really enjoy NEW MOON. At first,I hated it. I get that Bella was upset because Edward left her, but this was painful to read!! I don't mean it was painful because I was feeling for her, I mean it was painful to read! I know that people grieve in different ways, but to me, Bella was being ridiculous. It wasn't ridiculous that she was sad and depressed, it was the way she was handling it. She wouldn't speak for months! And then she was so sad that she considered killing herself? I'm sorry, but I like my lead female characters to have some strength. I know that she was sad, and I know that losing someone can hurt like hell, but this was too much, and not realistic to me.
But, then I started to actually enjoy the book when Jacob entered the picture. Jacob felt like a character I actually liked and could stand. I think he and Bella in that book were, honestly, quite perfect together.
I didn't mind the rest of the book, but once Edward came back it felt like, once again, we were hit over the head with how beautiful he was.
All in all, I liked this book; didn't love it, but I liked it.

This book so good! I've re-read it like 10 times. I passed it on to my friends and they all love it too. And they love Edward, of course. I also gave it to my brother and he even liked it. He didn't fall in love, but it just shows that even though it seems like a book only girls would be into because of Edward, it's not. It's a very enticing book! I'm even going to the midnight release of the last installment, BREAKING DAWN. I don't know what I'll do when its over :(

It’s an interesting story taking place in the future. The whole story line is just like, wow. The book is about two runaway teens who are just trying to survive till their 18th birthdays. Once they’re 18, they don’t have to run from the law, run for their life. Yup, it’s a good book, I recommend it.

Nightrise: The Gatekeepers, Book 3 by Anthony Horowitz
Rating: 4 Stars
First, let me say that the Gatekeepers series is one of my all-time favorites. But, the third book was a bit disappointing. It failed to give the same sense of a race against time to save the world, and the plot veered off for about 100 pages to explain something mostly unrelated to the things going on in the main plot. But most disappointing is probably the fact that the main character is not the same as in the first two books. But, NIGHTRISE still had some well-written and suspenseful moments, even if the ending was rushed and left too many questions unanswered.

Peeps by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 4 Stars
PEEPS presents vampires in a modern, scientific perspective; parasites are the cause of vampirism, a contagious disease. In the even-numbered chapters, Westerfeld offers interesting parasitic facts; obviously, this novel was well researched and carefully planned out.
Not only was this an educational book, it was an innovative one. Thanks to Westerfeld, vampires actually make sense in the real world. It was an interesting read, and I was able to read it within a day.
This would have been one of my favorite books, if it weren't for the disappointing ending. Scott Westerfeld needs to work on his endings (such as in The Last Days and So Yesterday); they need to be more dynamic. Even though I felt that he was trying to leave room for a sequel, the ending didn't feel complete to me.

Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt
Rating: 5 Stars
I read this book four days ago and I still can't get it out of my head. It takes place in medieval times and Katurah, a beautiful peasant, gets lost in the woods until she meets death, who appears to her as a handsome man. He makes her a deal --- if she can find true love before sunset the next day, she can live. It's an intriguing story, with an unexpected, but perfect, ending that gave me a different perspective on death when I was through. The characters are well developed (except for Death) and I grew to love them all. I read it in one sitting and have already recommended it to all my friends. And now I'm recommending it to you!
