Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo by Obert Skye
Rating: 5 Stars
I really like the humor, point of view and the characters. It has a creative plot and I've read the whole series. Believe it or not there is a ton of coincidence that they call fate. It is a refreshing book really makes you think about things differently.

Sierra
Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis
Rating: 3 Stars
It is not my favorite Chronicles of Narnia book but it is still good.

Dana.
13 Reasons Why by Jay asher
Rating: 5 Stars
It was completely haunting and riveting. It was one of those books that is really deep and flawlessly finished. It made me want to be a better person, and will be one of those books that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

WARNING: you have to be in the right mood for it though. if your in the mood for something light, dot read it just then. It was really moving but when i started it it depressed me because i wanted something with more romance. after i took a little break i went back and read the rest of it. I'm glad that i did.

Haleemah
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
Rating: 4 Stars
It's a really good book and I enjoy reading the book. The author, Lisa See, is an excellent writer.

S. Kruger
God Is in the Pancakes by Robin Epstein
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a great story that will make you laugh and make you cry.

Amanda
Max: A Maximum Ride Novel by James Patterson
Rating: 4 Stars
I liked this one a lot, but they've all gone downhill for me since "The Fugitives" part of the series ended. It's "The Protectors" now, and while the environmental messages have gone down a little since The Final Warning, its still a little too much. I mean, now Max has to save the world AND stop global warming?? It doesn't seem like the flock has much of a purpose anymore, or a definite enemy. However, I'm a sucker for Max and Fang, so probably two extra stars for them. :)

Amanda
Coraline by Neil Gaiman
Rating: 4 Stars
"Coraline" was a very interesting book, to say the least. It was very creepy at times, but it also had this sort of dark humor that I liked.

Amanda
Linger by Maggie Stiefvater
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the sequel to "Shiver", and it was almost as awesome. :)

Sierra
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Rating: 3 Stars
Not the best book I've read, but it was rather interesting.

Mila Gauvin
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was so beautiful and breathtaking that I take it everywhere with me so that I can just read and reread it whenever I can. One of my favorite books ever.

Katless
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars
One of a kind romance. I love Dexter, Remy and their natural chemistry. I wish I can have what they have.

Casandra
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is a great and quick read. I read it cover to cover in less than two days. I could not put it down. It was so captivating.

It is a great story of a little orphan girl who gets adopted and the story follows her through her life, from child to adult. I highly recommend this book for any girl out there.

Tatiana Montes
Numbers by Rachel Ward
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book because it was really detailed. It will keep you turning the page until it end. From the beginning to the end there will be non-stop guessing about what will happen next.

Raven Brooke
Perfect Strangers by Jahnna N. Malcolm
Rating: 5 Stars
This book really sends the message that you cant jump to conclusions before you have all the details.

Kyra M.
Prada and Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard
Rating: 3 Stars
I loved the idea of this book, but thought it could have been done better. It was a cute story, but very very predictable. Maybe it just isn't my kind of book, but if you prefer love stories I suggest you check it out.

Kyra M.
Blue Plate Special by Michelle Kwasney
Rating: 5 Stars
Amazing! Amazing! I have never read anything like this book, the storyline is great and unexpected. I love how the author gives hints throughout the book, and lets you piece it together yourself. Such a beautiful story. One of the best I have read in a while.

Kyra M.
The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan
Rating: 4 Stars
I was so excited to read this book, I love the Percy Jackson series and love anything Egyptian. I can't say I absolutely loved this book, but I did enjoy it. At times I felt it was trying too hard with the humor. But overall I really liked it and look forward to more.

Fatimah Conteh
Dark Flame by Alyson Noel
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved this book a lot especially how Ever had to balance Rolan, her best friend and her loved one. A great book and I hope there is another one.

adalie
The Enemy by Charlie Higson
Rating: 5 Stars
I'm still reading it right now but I like it. It's a little bit of a zombie like book --- about everyone, except for kids, who get a disease and get sick. The kids are loving it because there are no more parents around to tell them what to do. I love the book.

Julie S
Reality Check by Peter Abrahams
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a really suspenseful book about the mystery surrounding one girl's disappearance. Not too tense, but it still had me hooked. The ending is surprising and unexpected, but satisfying.

Abby
Far From You by Lisa Schroeder
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was very deep and poetic and astonishingly beautiful. I can't wait to read more from this author.

S.Bell
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Rating: 4 Stars
I was unsure about reading this, because I thought it would be another "Twilight" remake (ugh) but I was wrong. I really liked it and despite the fact that many people have decided that it is indeed a remake, I can't wait for the next one. I couldn't say the same for "Twilight".

Mandi
The Mark by Jen Nadol
Rating: 4 Stars
At first the book was a little slow, but after the first few pages I liked it. It's about a girl who can see if someone is going to die that day.

kk
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the absolute best book in the world. It is about a 16-year-old girl who is starting to see people others can't see. These people are called shadow hunters and they fight demons. But as it turns out, she is also a shadow hunter! Her mom just hid her from that world to protect her from her father. Then she meets the hottie Jace! And he has a knack of following her and being in the right place at the right time! He is also a shadow hunter. Clary's mom is kidnapped by her father. Then her best friend Simon, who likes her, helps her the whole time and becomes jealous of Jace because Jace and Clary like each other.

Uhura M.
The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this book for the romance and adventure! I also really like how the story progresses and how Kelley Armstrong reveals a lot of new things about the characters that makes you anxious to read the next book in the series: "The Gathering". This book is thoroughly enjoyable even though some parents may not like their teens reading them because it includes witchcraft, necromancy and demons.

Gabel Sanchez
Angelology by Danielle Trussoni
Rating: 5 Stars
A great thriller that makes you want to know what will happen next. Danielle makes you fall in love with the characters and even at the end of the book, you will want more.

Sierra
How to Read Literature Like a Professor by Thomas C. Foster
Rating: 4 Stars
A great guide to seeing the symbolism in literature and getting more out of reading in the process.

Brooke
The Prophecy (The Watchers Chronicles) by Dawn Miller
Rating: 4 Stars
The best part of this book was its wonderfully well-written characters. Well, at least the human characters. I loved Jonah, Carly, Sam, J, Jenna and Mikey and each of their personalities, and found them all very relatable. Their group dynamic is especially amazing, as it was intended to be. This is what kept my interest through the slower and more confusing parts of the novel. However, it wasn't the writing that made the story confusing, just the fact that it took awhile to explain what was going on and for the action and pace to begin to pick up. Actually, Dawn Miller did an excellent job keeping things focused despite the many flashbacks and multiple point of view changes.

Rachel L.
How Not To Be Popular by Jennifer Ziegler
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was funny and quirky, and it was fun to read. I really liked all of the over the top things the characters did, but it seemed unrealistic, (not that I would expect a book with this title to be realistic). Overall a good book.

Sofia
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Rating: 1 Stars
This is a Twilight copycat, only worse.

The characters have absolutely no personality. I don't even know how Sam and Grace fell in love. The plot is obvious, and the writing is weak.

This book also sets another awful example for teenage girls everywhere.

Overall, the best part of the book? The cover design.

Sofia
These is my Words by Nancy E. Turner
Rating: 4 Stars
This is a captivating historical fiction diary, full of action, fear, adventure and romance.

Sofia
The Princess and the Hound by Mette Ivie Harrison
Rating: 3 Stars
Really a 3.5. This is a cute and captivating retelling of "Beauty and the Beast" that is reminiscent of Gail Carson Levine.

Ashley(:
A Bride in the Bargain by Deeanne Gist
Rating: 5 Stars
Such a good book!!! If you like books set back in the old times, you'll love this one! It's got such a cute story, and it's loosely based on fact.

Sofia

One of my favorite kid series, right after Peter and the Starcatchers.

Elizabeth
Never Cry Werwolf by Heather Davis
Rating: 4 Stars
This is a really good book! I would recommend it to any teenage girl who loves romance books. Shelby risks everything for Austin, and he is really worth it. :]

Briana

Rating: 5 Stars
This book and the whole series, has been the best series I've EVER read! So good and it always has me crying! I love it!

Jamie
Evermore by Alyson Noel
Rating: 4 Stars
This book was awesome! When I got to the last page, I didn't want it to end. It was about this girl named Ever, whose family died in a car accident. After that day, she could suddenly see people's auras and hear their thoughts and stuff. But then she meets a guy named Damen, but all of her powers don't work on him.

Lara
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
Rating: 3 Stars
It was okay at first. But the love triangle is really complicated, and I didn't really like how one character hardly ever showed any emotion. And the sequel is even worse.

Amanda
Science Fair by Dave Barry
Rating: 2 Stars
It was ok, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I were a twelve year old boy haha. Didn't really seem targeted towards my audience, but it was still funny. :)

Amanda
Hunger by Michael Grant
Rating: 5 Stars
The second book in the Gone series, and it's just as awesome as the first. :)

Shirley
City Of Glass by Cassandra Clare

I love all the Princess Diaries books so far! I can't wait to read the others.

Sierra
The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis
Rating: 3 Stars
It's a very easy read, some parts are confusing, but it is still a good story

Ashley(:
The Not-So-Great- Depression by Amy Goldman Koss
Rating: 4 Stars
It was actually a pretty cute book. It had me smiling and even laughing out loud. Basically, it's about how today's economy is effecting a very bubbly girl and her family.

Alia
Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce
Rating: 5 Stars
A great novel about a deadly girl and her sister who are fighting for their safety and her love. Together they fight for a tight knit group who works to rid the world of as many Fenris as they can. With those thoughts in mind, this novel ensnares you and will hold you captive to it's whim...at least there is no hatchet involved.

Stephany
The Bar Code Tattoo by Suzanne Weyn
Rating: 5 Stars
Yes, this book was so good I recommended it to lots of people who like adventure and more!!

Angie L
The Shadowmask by R.A. and Geno Salvatore
Rating: 3 Stars
I think I'd give it 3 1/2 too if I was able. This is a fun, action-packed fantasy novel --- the second in the Stone of Tymora trilogy. Though sometimes I feel things happen for no other reason than to slow down the plot, I really enjoyed it and do look forward to the final novel coming out this year.

Amber
She's So Dead to Us by Kieran Scott
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was really great. I loved the whole story line. The author did a great job making all of the characters interesting. You never knew what was coming until it happened.

Amber

Rachel L.

Walker's writing exactly mimics the way the characters would speak. The book was about women learning to take their independence and learn and travel. It was very inspiring and made me realize how lucky I am today.
