Official Rules for the First Annual Valentine's Day Contest
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to all legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 13 years of age or older. The following persons and their dependents are not eligible to enter or win: employees of The Book Report, Inc. and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of each of the above. Winners will be chosen in a random drawing from all correct responses received. One entry per e-mail address.
HOW TO ENTER: The contest is open from 9AM ET on Friday, January 20, 2012 through Thursday, February 9, 2012 at noon ET. While the contest is posted on Teenreads.com, you can enter by filling out this form and answering the following question:
What character in a book would you want to share a Valentine moment with?
Winners will be chosen in a random drawing from all responses received.

All entries must be postmarked by Monday, February 6, 2012 and received by Thursday, February 9, 2012.
HOW TO WIN: The total number of eligible entries received determines odds of winning. One entry per e-mail address. From all eligible entries received, Bookreporter.com will randomly select five (5) First Prize Winners who will receive the following books --- CINDER: Book One in the Lunar Chronicles, by Marissa Meyer; FALLEN IN LOVE: A Fallen Novel in Stories, by Lauren Kate; and FIRST DATE by Krista McGee --- along with a bag of Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares.
POSTING OF PRIZE WINNERS: All prize winners will be listed on Teenreads.com by first name and city/state by Friday, February 10, 2012.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY/RESERVED RIGHTS: Neither the Sponsor, nor the parent, subsidiary or affiliate companies, nor the promotional agencies shall have any obligation or responsibility with regard to (i) entries that contain inaccurate information or do not comply with these rules, (ii) entries, prize claims or notifications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient, in whole or in part, due to computer or technical error of any kind, (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or (iv) any damages or losses of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize. The Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Web Site or otherwise violating these rules. The Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes if the Sweepstakes cannot be completed as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
