These delicious details are interspersed with the plot threads of the three au pairs. The girls' stories and their subsequent friendship give this book extra value among the La Perla dresses. Some of the book's best parts come when the girls band together to help their four charges from the snobby lessons and activities assigned by social climbing parents.

The plot is set up for at least one sequel, and readers will be interested in how these three do on their next job.
