Deadly Little Lies: A Touch Novel

Sixteen-year-old Camelia Hammond has survived a horrible
nightmare come true. Just a few months ago, an obsessive stalker
left terrifying messages, toying with her fears, before kidnapping
her and holding her hostage. The only way she came out alive was
with the help of her boyfriend, Ben Carter, and his unique talent.
He can sense things through touch, a gift called psychometry. But
even though he saved her life, the consequences forced him into
hiding once again.

A few months have passed, and he is now willing to try life in
the mainstream once again. Camelia can’t wait to see him and
pick up their relationship. But she quickly realizes that, even
though Ben may be back at school, he refuses to be back in her
life. He avoids all contact except for a few fleeting glances and
painful rejections, leaving Camelia confused, saddened and alone.
Meanwhile, Alex, the new employee at the pottery shop, seems too
good to be true. Since Ben refuses to be part of her life, Camelia
attempts to move on and starts dating Alex. Still, her heart is
reluctant to agree to the plan, not wanting to let go of
Ben.

Believe it or not, Camelia begins to receive threatening
messages again. At first, she worries that the culprit could be the
same person as before, but is assured by her friends that he is far
away from her. Could it be too coincidental that the threats resume
at the same time Ben returns? The school counselor believes the
threats to be part of the array of pranks being pulled by the
students, but Camelia has proof that they’re real. Lately,
she has found that her pottery talents have been producing more
than just works of art --- she’s been sculpting premonitions,
somehow developing psychometric powers of her own. Will they be
strong enough to save her?

Laurie Faria Stolarz is a master creator of suspense and
romance. Her words cause the heart to pound, the palms to sweat,
the spine to shiver, and the stomach to flutter. The trepidation
born from the anonymous threats will make the pages fly, and the
palpable tension between Camelia and Ben as they attempt to ignore
their hearts causes the fire to burn hotter. Stolarz brings back
the colorful characters who provided the mood-lightening bits of
humor in DEADLY LITTLE SECRET, like Camelia’s mom and her
attempts at vegan and raw cuisines, and Camelia’s best
friend, Kimmy, and her outrageous fashion concoctions. She also
emphasizes the importance of solid friendships to help teens like
Kimmy deal with the gut-wrenching experience of witnessing parents
fight and tear their lives apart.

Fans will be excited to learn that Stolarz is currently hard at
work on the third novel in her Touch series, DEADLY LITTLE
GAME.
