Review

Here Lies Daniel Tate

Daniel Tate, a member of the rich and renowned Tate family, mysteriously disappeared at age 10. Not a single trace was left behind, and the case remains unsolved. Six years later, a traumatized boy is found on the streets of Vancouver, Canada. After being provided food and shelter for a few speechless days, he finally speaks, announcing the miracle that everyone hoped for but no one expected: he is the missing Daniel Tate.

"A fast-paced, exciting mystery unlike any you've read before. The tension rises with each chapter as developments unfold with thrilling speed and hidden truths beg to be let out."

The Tate family flies out immediately. Using their money and power, they are able to get him back home just as fast without too much hassle from the police. Daniel Tate has returned, and the family can be happy and complete once again. The only problem? He isn't really Daniel Tate. At the same time, the family is very far from being happy or complete; secrets are nestled into every corner of the Tate household. The con artist posing as Daniel has to decide whether to embrace the biggest scam he's ever pulled off, or do what he's used to doing: running away. Meanwhile, the Tate family is just as on edge about accepting "Daniel" into their home, and working hard to keep secrets that could tear them apart once and for all.

HERE LIES DANIEL TATE by Cristin Terrill is a fast-paced, exciting mystery unlike any you've read before. The almost 400 page novel will fly by in a whirlwind of mystery, tension and excitement, keeping you increasingly intrigued throughout all of it.
