Josh can't stand to be in his hometown anymore. There are too many bad memories of what he did. He needs to get out and find a way to move on. He knows he can't do this at home where he is constantly reminded of all the things he's done wrong.

Josh decides that moving in with his extremely eccentric Uncle Larry is the way for him to get a fresh start. He starts his senior year at a new school, finds out he shares his uncle's love of karate and befriends a girl that lives in his building, named Stella. Josh sees his life changing for the better, but the pain of what he did still lingers. He wonders if he'll ever be able to forgive himself and move on with his life.

Jo Knowles composes a profound tale of growing up and learning to accept the past. Readers get to see Josh mature throughout the story as he finds a way to live with what he's done. LIVING WITH JACKIE CHAN is filled with amazingly lovable, brilliantly written characters. Uncle Larry is sure to be a favorite.
