Hi! I’m Anna Kate from Alabama and I am a junior in high school. I fell in love with reading after starting the Harry Potter series in the fourth grade and haven’t stopped loving it since! I spend most of my time around books; whether it is reading for pleasure, volunteering at the library or directing/participating in book groups, I tend to seek out activities that place me around literature. For me, reading has always been a way to understand people and situations that I otherwise would not be able to and has opened my mind to many different issues. Outside of reading and when I’m not doing homework, I spend my time traveling around the South to watch Alabama football (RTR), debating on my high school's team and finding the best ice cream in town.

Top Five Favorite Books:
1. THE SECRET HISTORY by Donna Tartt
2. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
3. THE STRANGE AND BEAUTIFUL SORROWS OF AVA LAVENDER by Leslye Walton
4. WE ALL LOOKED UP by Tommy Wallach
5. TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Harper Lee
