Hi! My name is Mackenzie, I am 17-years-old and a senior in high school in California. When I'm not reading, I am most likely playing softball, traveling or hanging out with my dog, Finnick. I love just spending time with friends, binge-watching Netflix and wasting way too much time on the internet. I am obbsessed with books and reading, and am so excited to be a part of the Teen Board! I can't wait for all of us to share our feelings about books together this year!

Top Five Favorite Books:
1. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
2. To All the Boys I've Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han
3. WE WERE LIARS by E. Lockhart
4. A COURT OF MIST AND FURY by Sarah J. Maas
5. The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins

Carver Briggs never thought a simple text would cause a fatal crash, killing his three best friends, Mars, Eli and Blake. Now Carver can’t stop blaming himself and even worse, a judge is pressuring the district attorney to open up a criminal investigation. Luckily, Carver has some unexpected allies, including Blake’s grandmother, who asks Carver to spend a “goodbye day” together to share their memories and say a proper farewell. Soon the other families are asking for their own goodbye day with Carver, but he’s unsure of their motives. Will they all be able to make peace, or will these goodbye days bring Carver one step closer to a complete breakdown or prison?
