Halloween will be upon us on Saturday, and my 14-year-old son, who reads comics in the paper, as well as collections in books, wants to be Hobbes from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. Thus, my main task for these next few days will be to work with him on his tiger costume. I had thought we could use tiger print fabric for this, but I cannot find ANY in stores near us, so it's orange felt stripes on a black sweatsuit. He told me this is probably his last year to trick or treat, so he has a plan to hit a TON of houses. Do you have any great book or comic character-themed costumes in mind for Halloween?
