Archives - Teenreads Monthly Update

Hi Teenreaders!

Did any of you watch the Oscars on Sunday night? I did, and though I’m admittedly always more interested in the dresses than the show itself (I thought that J. Lo and Emma Stone tied for the winners), there were definitely a few memorable moments throughout the night (namely the fact that Lady Gaga can sing…and I mean really sing).

Whatever your favorite category or moment was, see below --- we think we’ve found a book for you!

Happy February, Teenreaders!

Seeing as February 14th is just around the corner, I’m guessing that half of you have spent the past few days making Valentines for all of your friends and stocking up on chocolate --- and the other half never wants to see a heart, the color pink or a rose ever again.

Whichever category you fall into, though, I bet that you can make a little bit of room for some literary loves, whether it be authors whose prodigious talent and quirky persona make you swoon or characters who have just the right amount of charm, wit and sparkle in their eyes.

As I'm sure many of you know, yesterday the American Library Association (ALA) announced their winners of some of the biggest book prizes of the year, and we at Teenreads.com are happy to share them with you!

Read on for all the awards news, and to see if your favorite book won anything this year!
