About the Book

Birthmarked

In a dystopian future, the world is divided between those who live inside the wall, and those, like 16-year-old midwife Gaia Stone and her mother, who live outside. Gaia has always believed that it is their duty as midwives to hand over a small quota of babies to the Enclave. But when she comes home one night to discover that her parents have been arrested, Gaia begins to wonder whether unquestioning service to the Enclave is everything she's been taught to believe. Now, Gaia must come up with a plan to enter the walled city and bring her parents safely back home. To do that, she’ll have to enlist the help of a handsome young Enclave guard whose face she can’t seem to get out of her mind…
