Famous in Love

FAMOUS IN LOVE by Rebecca Serle is an amazing book depicting the juicy behind-the-scenes action of the film industry. Paige "PG" Townsen has always aspired to be an actress. Since she was a child, Paige has auditioned for numerous acting opportunities and has been in various productions. The moment her best friend Cassandra notices that auditions are being held in their town for the movie adaption of the bestselling novel LOCKED, Paige's life changes forever. Landing the role as August, Paige is thrown into the world of filming. On set in Hawaii, she befriends Hollywood heartthrob Rainer Devon, who plays Noah, one of her love interests in the movie. At first, the two are nothing more than friends, with Rainer helping Paige understand the film industry. However, things change and feelings are ignited.

An amazing book depicting the juicy behind-the-scenes action of the film industry…. any teenager who loves the idea of love will be enamored with this book.

But everything turns upside down when Rainer's arch nemesis Jordan Wilder joins the cast as Ed, another one of August's love interests in the movie. Right off the bat, Jordan and Paige have beautiful chemistry, causing Paige to doubt her feelings for Rainer. Not only is the love triangle consuming Paige's thoughts, but also the sticky situation she left back at home. FAMOUS IN LOVE has readers fall in love with Rainer for the first half of the book only to make them fall in with Jordan in the last half the book. August, Paige and the reader are left questioning who the right boy is: Rainer/Noah or Jordan/Ed?

At first I was a bit hesitant to enjoy the book because I assumed it would be cliché. However, once I read 98 pages in one hour, I realized I couldn't put the book down. The romance in this book was absolutely beautiful. Any teenage girl would envy Paige, who has two gorgeous guys wanting her. The novel really gave insight into what goes on during the film process and it was nice to learn some of the basic facts. I love the way the book has you guessing until the end who Paige/August is going to pick. I also love how the author gives a hint towards which boy is Paige's true love through the prologue. It was surreptitiously done, and it was much appreciated. Overall, I honestly adored this book and all I know is that there better be a sequel, because I need to know what happens next!

Filled with epic kissing scenes, dreamy boys and the beautiful backdrop of Hawaii, FAMOUS IN LOVE is such a great read and I know that any teenager who loves the idea of love will be enamored with this book.
