Top Ten Clues You're Clueless

Chloe is not looking forward to her shift at GoodFoods supermarket for several reasons: it’s Christmas Eve, she has to wake up at an ungodly hour and trudge through the snow to get to work on time and dealing with the holiday rush of last-minute shoppers is sure to be insane. Luckily, Chloe has her habit of making lists to help get her through the day. At the top of today’s list is learning new facts about her coworkers, especially her swoon-worthy crush, Tyson.

With entertaining banter, a little romance and a diverse cast of characters, the author takes what could be a mundane setting for a novel and transforms it into a lively and adventure-filled grocery store that readers will wish they could shop at again and again.

Chloe’s shift starts out just like any other --- working at her register while listening to the same Christmas carols over and over again and observing the bizarre array of customers that walk through the door. However, the day takes an unusual turn when the GoodFoods owner realizes that the holiday donation box has been robbed of thousands of dollars, and the people at the top of his list of suspects are the “Younglings” --- Chloe and five other teenagers who work at GoodFoods. The teens are forced to stay at the store after closing time and wait for the police to arrive, which is definitely not how any of them want to spend their Christmas Eve. While passing the time with some fun grocery store hijinks and playing detective to try and figure out who could have stolen the money, the group ends up learning things about each other that they never knew before. As the bonds between them grow and a thrilling chase for the thief ensues, the teens realize that this day may just make the list of the greatest things to ever happen at GoodFoods.

TOP TEN CLUES YOU’RE CLUELESS is a lighthearted and engaging story about blossoming friendships. The lists interspersed throughout the narrative are highly amusing; a few personal favorites are “Top Ten Things That Suck About Being A Redhead,” “Ten Movies That Make Me Wish My Life Was More Like A Movie,” and “Things That Are Less Awkward Than Getting Caught Riding Through The Store In A Shipping Cart In Front Of Your (Angry) Bosses.” With entertaining banter, a little romance and a diverse cast of characters, the author takes what could be a mundane setting for a novel and transforms it into a lively and adventure-filled grocery store that readers will wish they could shop at again and again.
